The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Attila looking to score a takedown here. Nick is defending well but Attila drives through and ends up in Nick's guard. Attila stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nick swivels though and keeps the full guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nick can do anything to dispel that myth. Nick wants to stand up but Attila is controlling him. Attila trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Attila trying to control but Nick is working from the bottom. Attila postures up in Nick's guard and throws a big left but Nick blocks it. Attila distracts Nick with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Attila drops back looking for a leg! Nick is in trouble here! Bakanori circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops West to the canvas! West doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Bakanori keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Griffin fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ramone, pushing him back against the cage. Griffin lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Ramone backwards. Griffin has hold of one of Ramone's legs. Ramone is fighting the takedown attempt but Griffin gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Griffin is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Griffin postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Ramone has momentary wrist control but Griffin slips an elbow through the middle.
It looks like Razor Ramone has been cut. Griffin content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. This has been an exciting period of action! Ramone lands with a slapping head kick. Griffin walks forward, straight into a front kick from Ramone. Griffin on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Ramone moves into range and connects with a jab. Razor Ramone is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Griffin drops his hands momentarily and Ramone takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Anthony Griffin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ramone slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Griffin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ramone sprawls well. Ramone wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Griffin gets slowly back to his feet. Ramone connects with a looping right hand.

Nice combination. A lazy left from Ramone finds it's target. Ramone fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Griffin looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Griffin takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Nice shot lands for Ramone. Griffin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ramone tries to avoid it but Griffin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ramone to the ground. Ramone escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Griffin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ramone is fending him off so far but Griffin persists. Nope, Ramone circles away and we're back to standing. Ramone lands a nice hook to Griffin's body. Griffin takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Ramone throws out a powerful jab.

Griffin throws a lazy head kick and Ramone counters with a lovely straight right hand! Ramone lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Hall moves forwards but Monsoon connects with a nice, crisp jab. Hall tries to close the distance and clinch but Monsoon swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Hall avoids a punch combination nicely.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice defenses there by Nate. Jab, jab by Morgan - just one landing. Nate shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Morgan is trying to defend but Nate finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Nate is looking to take a break and control but Morgan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
