Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rolls Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pencil Neck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes to the cage accompanied by Wu-Tang Clan - The Mystery Of Chessboxin. Neck is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Deep Purple - Bad Attitude. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neck scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Gracie punishes Neck's body with a nice straight punch.
Gracie scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
The fight stays on the outside here - Neck looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

That was a close round but I would say that Rolls Gracie will probably get the nod.

Neck has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Gracie to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Neck is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Gracie pulls down on the head and he's put Neck to sleep! This one is all over!

and Mullen counters with a nice uppercut.

Mamma is working for a guillotine from mount but Mullen frees his head quite easily.
Mullen is looking to get to half guard.

Mamma is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Mullen can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Mullen sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Mullen is controlling Mamma's trapped leg to prevent Mamma from advancing to side control.

Mullen pushes Mamma off looking to stand but Mamma dives back in and keeps control.

Mamma seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mullen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Mamma is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mullen defends it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Mamma looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mullen is fending him off so far but Mamma persists. Nope, Mullen circles away and we're back to standing.
Mullen misses with an uppercut.
Mamma fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mullen avoids it really well and circles away.
Mamma shoots in for a double leg but Mullen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Pvt. Mullen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Katt Mamma.
Mullen throws a series of punches but Mamma avoids them all with ease.
Mamma with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Mullen to score with a decent uppercut.
Mamma goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Mamma tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mullen tries to clinch but Mamma moves out of range.

Mullen has taken the fight to the clinch.
Mamma can't get the takedown.
Mullen lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Mullen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nice defenses there by Mamma.
Mamma takes one to the chin there.

Mamma misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A low kick from Mamma misses
and Mullen counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Mullen jabs Mamma to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Mamma misses with a body kick.
Mamma throws a chopping leg kick but Mullen manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Mamma tries to score with a low kick but Mullen moves his leg out of the way.
Mamma tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Mamma.
Mullen connects with a looping right hand.
Mamma is breathing heavily.
Mamma throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Mamma tries to land a front kick but Mullen steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Mullen throws a good cross that connects.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mullen cracks Mamma with an open hand slap.
Mamma throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Pvt. Mullen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mamma has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mamma there as he acknowledges the shot.

Mamma is rocked!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Mamma lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mullen has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mullen and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Mamma is still on wobbly legs! Can Mullen finish him?
Mamma throws a head kick that misses.
Mamma seems to have recovered his senses.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mamma on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Mullen is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
A slapping leg kick lands for Mamma.
Pvt. Mullen is winning the standup battle so far.
Mullen throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Mamma ducks right into an uppercut from Mullen.
Mullen lands a nice shot that snaps Mamma's head back.
Mullen pounces like a tiger and cracks Mamma with a vicious hook! Mamma is down but not out! Mullen follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Pvt. Mullen!
Pvt. Mullen seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
