2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frank Inator! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, AJ March! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Hugh Johnson and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! March bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Inator's head backwards. March scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Inator is looking for a sweep. Inator is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Inator actively working from the bottom here. Inator is doing well to control the position and prevent March from advancing to side control. Inator is trying to control but can't.
March sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Inator defending well though. Inator makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Inator. March must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. March loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. We're going to have a standup here because Frank Inator wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. March takes the fight into the clinch. Inator is looking for a takedown. March's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Inator avoids the head kick by March.

March tries to close the distance and clinch up but Inator swats him away and circles back towards the center. Inator shoots for a takedown but March saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Inator. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. March displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Inator. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
