Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, NJ Mcgarry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hardy Swagger!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swagger keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

It looks like NJ Mcgarry has been cut.
Swagger scores with a jab to the jaw.
Swagger moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mcgarry shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Mcgarry closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Mcgarry is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Swagger has escaped the position, nice work there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mcgarry has an Americana. Swagger didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Mcgarry is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Mcgarry hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Medina misses with a takedown attempt

and Baldeh counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Baldeh wants to pass to mount but Medina is defending the position.

Baldeh is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Medina has managed to free his arm - good work.
Medina regains full guard. Nicely done.

Medina working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Baldeh doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Baldeh manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Medina looking for a guillotine here but Baldeh defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Baldeh wants to control from the top but Medina keeps moving.
Medina manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Medina has hold of Baldeh's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Baldeh manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Medina looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Baldeh tries to lock up and control but Medina gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Baldeh is working to get back to half guard.
Baldeh is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Baldeh is trying to escape the mount.

Medina can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Baldeh is looking to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Baldeh holds on, trying desperately to control.

Baldeh is squirming around, avoiding Medina's attempts to control the action.
Medina avoids the attempt from Baldeh to control.
Medina looking to control but Baldeh is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Baldeh is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Baldeh tries to hold on but Medina postures up.

Baldeh is trying to stand back up but Medina is controlling him
Baldeh is breathing heavily.

Medina is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Medina tries to pass the half guard into mount. Baldeh knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Medina trying to control from half guard but Baldeh is working away.

Medina looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Medina looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Andrew Medina will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Medina is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Baldeh's half guard.

Baldeh is defending against the submission attempts here by Medina.

Baldeh could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Medina is trying to control. Baldeh wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Baldeh has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Medina is working away from the top position though.

Medina is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Baldeh is just riding it out for now. Medina eventually gives up the hold.

Baldeh keeping moving, preventing Medina from controlling successfully.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Baldeh decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Medina's guard.

Baldeh wants to control but Medina is keeping busy.

Medina is thwarting Baldeh's attempts to control the position.
Baldeh moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Medina thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Medina wants to pass the guard but Baldeh is keeping the position.
Baldeh keeping moving, preventing Medina from controlling successfully.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Medina prevents Baldeh from getting back to his feet.
Medina's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Medina looking to improve position, pressing down on Baldeh's thigh with his hand. Baldeh seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Medina paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Medina's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Baldeh picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
