2 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Zbigniew Ciosek! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Valeri Chadov and Igor Prikhodko.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big left from Ciosek misses. A punch combination from Fist misses. Fist thows a left - swing and a miss! Ciosek is looking to clinch but Fist is avoiding it.
Fist connects with a nice looking jab.
Ciosek dodges the punch combination from Fist.
Fist throws a jab when Ciosek was well out of range. That kick from Ciosek tenderised Fist's leg. Fist is trying to keep his angry face on. A nice inside leg kick there by Ciosek. That's going to slow Fist down. A punch combination from Fist misses. Fist throws a big shot that misses. A telegraphed right hand from Ciosek misses the target. Fist slips a straight right by Ciosek. Fist lands a slapping body shot.

 It looks like Zbigniew Ciosek has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Decent striking displayed by Ciosek there.

Fist throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Fist has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Ciosek. Ciosek scores with a jab to the head.
Ciosek takes one on the button. Ciosek scores with a kick to the midsection. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ciosek keeps Fist at a distance using the push kick. A punch combination from Fist misses. Ciosek with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Fist to score with a decent uppercut.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Penn missing with a left hand there. Hattori was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Penn blocks a head kick by Hattori.
Penn tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Hattori counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Penn is lucky that one didn't land flush. Penn throws a body punch but Hattori moves out of range. Penn throws a shot from downtown. Hattori moves away and avoids it. Hattori tries to score a power double leg takedown but Penn sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hattori somewhat. Hattori lands a head kick. Penn smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Hattori swinging wildly here.

Penn moves into the clinch. Hattori is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Hattori wants to break free but Penn has control.

Penn gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Hattori wants to get back to his feet but Penn is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Hattori trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

 BJ Penn has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Hattori doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. A combination from Penn does no damage. Hattori shoots for a double leg takedown but Penn sprawls well. He's pushed Hattori's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A big right from Penn misses. Hattori misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Penn takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Hattori has a takedown stuffed. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Hattori ducks under a wild hook from Penn. Penn tries to clinch but Hattori moves out of range. Penn swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Penn misses with the combination.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Penn displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Hattori shoots in looking for a takedown. Penn tries to sprawl out of it but Hattori keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Penn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Hattori pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Penn throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hattori. Hattori looks for a takedown but Penn sprawls well. A left lands for Penn. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hattori throws a nice looking combination but Penn bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Nice uppercut there from Penn.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Hattori tries for a takedown but Penn circles away easily and Penn counters with a series of strikes. Hattori will be more careful next time no doubt.
 Hattori is rocked! Hattori gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Penn gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Hattori is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). BJ Penn! BJ Penn was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.

Palavra is landing with some decent strikes but Arthit is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Palavra looking to control and managing it successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Palavra seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Arthit for as long as he can get away with. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Delon manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bom on his heels. He'll look to pass Bom's guard now, I'm sure. Bom looking to hit a scissor sweep but Delon is one step ahead there. Delon is working Bom over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Delon trying to control the position from guard on top but Bom is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Delon is working Bom over from the guard. 12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cain Velasquez! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Valeri Chadov and Viktor Lagutenko.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grown cracks Velasquez with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Grown lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Velasquez with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Grown to score with a decent uppercut. Grown is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Velasquez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Grown sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Grown tests Velasquez's chin there with a solid looking shot. Velasquez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Grown sprawls well. Grown wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Velasquez gets slowly back to his feet. Velasquez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Home Grown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cain Velasquez. Grown lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Velasquez circles away quickly and effectively. Velasquez shoots in for a takedown but Grown shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Velasquez scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Velasquez grinds an elbow into Grown's temple.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Velasquez has knee on belly momentarily but Grown bucks him off and regains half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Velasquez tries to pass to full mount but Grown defends it. Grown keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Velasquez throwing shots but Grown is blocking nicely. Velasquez trying to control the action but Grown is working from the bottom. Velasquez tries to pass the half guard into mount. Grown knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Velasquez thows a huge punch but Grown dodges it nicely.
Velasquez misses with a head shot. Grown uses the momentum to regain guard. Grown has his hands on Velasquez's head, controlling the position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Grown wants to sweep here but Velasquez controlling him for the moment. Velasquez trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Velasquez is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Velasquez throws a strike but Grown rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Grown trying to control the position from guard on top but Velasquez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

 We're going to have a standup here because Home Grown wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Velasquez decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Grown regains full guard. Nicely done. Velasquez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Velasquez won't allow Grown to sweep him here. Grown will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Velasquez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Velasquez throws a big right hand that misses. Velasquez looking to sit in guard and control but Grown gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Grown postures up in Velasquez's guard and throws a big left but Velasquez blocks it.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Grown trying to control but Velasquez is working from the bottom. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Home Grown. Horrible takedown by Velasquez or perhaps it was just good defense by Grown which made him look bad. Nice body kick there by Grown. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Grown misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Velasquez feints and as Grown raises his hands in defense, Velasquez changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Grown has Velasquez pulled in close to control his posture. Grown wants to stand and escape but Velasquez is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Home Grown will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Velasquez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Grown's waist but Grown gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Velasquez off to one side. Velasquez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Grown displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Velasquez. Home Grown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cain Velasquez. A slow jab from Grown misses its intended target. Velasquez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Velasquez fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Grown to the ground. Velasquez is now in Grown's guard. Grown manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Velasquez is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Grown lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Velasquez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Home Grown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cain Velasquez. Velasquez pushes Grown against the cage but Grown circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Grown lands a jab to the head.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Duck takes one on the chin but seems OK.
 It looks like Donald Duck has been cut. Duck fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Drost checks it well. Duck wants to slow Drost down by chopping away at his legs. Drost lands a head shot. Duck throws a leg kick that misses. Duck moves out of range as Drost strikes. Drost checks the leg kick. Drost checks a low kick from Duck. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Drost checks a leg kick. Drost connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Duck does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. A leg kick checked by Drost. Duck attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. A clash of legs there as Drost blocks the low kick. Duck thows a leg kick but Drost checks it and Drost counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Drost throws out a loose jab but Duck uses good head movement to avoid it. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Theban wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Theban parries the strikes from Nara easily there. Nara is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Theban to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Alcaeus Theban will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Say Nara's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

 That's one minute gone in the round. Nara lands a lovely overhand right. Nara looks to land a right hand but Theban moved out of range. The crowd cheers as Theban lands an impressive looking overhand right. Nara doesn't seem phased though. Theban throws a shot from downtown. Nara moves away and avoids it. Theban ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nara moves away. Theban slaps away a takedown attempt from Nara, before circling back to the center of the mat. Theban throws a body punch but Nara moves out of range. Theban swings for the body but Nara moves out of range.
Theban tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nara swats him away and circles back towards the center. Theban fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Nara on the side of the head. Theban throws a front kick that sends Nara stumbling back into the cage. Nara jabs Theban to the body, keeping him at a distance. Alcaeus Theban is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Nara throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Theban pushes Nara up against the cage in a clinch. Nara taking a breather. A frustrated look appears on Nara's face as he tries to break the clinch. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nara stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Nara turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Nara manages to end up in side control. Sloppy strikes there by Nara. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Theban is trying to get back to his feet. Nara throws a strike aimed at the side of Theban's head but Theban avoids it well. Theban is trying to get back to his feet. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Theban here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Nara working the ground and pound. Nara postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

He's almost out here... but no, Nara gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Nara tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Theban takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Theban is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Nara is looking to take a break and control but Theban is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Theban takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Theban controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Theban dodges the ground and pound from Nara. Nara trying to control the position but Theban is working away. Say Nara has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Theban is trying to buck Nara off. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Theban prevents Nara from improving position.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Potatos misses with an uppercut
and Ramos connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Ramos throws a shot from downtown. Potatos moves away and avoids it. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Ramos!

Potatos lands a good knee to the midsection. Ramos won't want to take too many of those. A quick uppercut on the inside from Potatos. A shot in the inside from Potatos. A short body shot lands from Potatos as the two fighters clinch.

 Emilio Ramos's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Ramos blocks an elbow strike from Potatos.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Ramos tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Ramos misses with a right hand and Potatos counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Ramos has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Potatos. Potatos feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Ramoss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Potatos moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Potatos scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. A jab from Potatos does it's job there.
 Ramos is rocked!
 Jeez, Emilio Ramos's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Potatos lands a right hook to the body.
Oh Ramos is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Potatos with a body punch. A glancing blow. Potatos scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. BAM! Potatos delivers a spinning backfist that drops Ramos like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!
