Paul sends Pearce crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Paul is motioning to the referee to let Pearce up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Cooper just misses with a punch to the body.
Cooper throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Cooper gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bot to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Cooper is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Bot rolls with it to try and escape but Cooper cranks on the arm and Bot is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Hoivunen has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Poppy looks to score with a jab to the body but Hoivunen is just out of range.
Mykka Hoivunen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Poppy finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Hoivunen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hoivunen throws a sloppy head kick and Poppy moves out of range easily.
Poppy throws a chopping leg kick but Hoivunen manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Hoivunen checks a low kick from Poppy.
Poppy misses with a hook.
Hoivunen slips under a jab.
Poppy throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Poppy tries to land a leg kick but Hoivunen saw it coming and moves away.
Poppy misses with a looping left.

Poppy closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hoivunen did well to prevent Poppy getting side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Poppy takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Poppy maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Hoivunen could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Poppy has cracked it and Hoivunen is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Poppy!

Hickman chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before McSweeney can pounce on him.
McSweeney tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hickman paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The fight stays on the outside here - McSweeney looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
