The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torrez thuds a left hand into Vaakku's body.
Vaakku misses with a combination
and Vaakku takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Vaakku throws a head kick but Torrez moves out of range.
Torrez finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Torrez misses the shot to the body.
Vaakku throws a right and a left that Torrez avoids nicely.
Vaakku shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

It looks like Jarkko Vaakku has been cut.
Vaakku dives in and grabs Torrez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Torrez pushes down on Vaakku's head and hops out.

Vaakku shoots in looking for a takedown. Torrez tries to sprawl out of it but Vaakku keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Torrez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jarkko Vaakku. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Vaakku is breathing heavily.
Vaakku's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Torrez connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Vaakku scrambles back to his feet.

Torrez connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Vaakku momentarily.

Vaakku is rocked!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Vaakku.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Torrez throws a leg kick but Vaakku sees it coming and moves out of range.
Torrez clobbers Vaakku with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Oh Vaakku is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
