Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cosmo Starstryder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyros Sisyphus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sisyphus has chosen Little Black Submarines - The Black Keys as his entrance music. Kyros Sisyphus is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cosmo Starstryder! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kyros Sisyphus! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Felipe Paraventi and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sisyphus ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Starstryder lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Sisyphus dodges the punch combination from Starstryder.
Starstryder misses with a kick to the body.
Starstryder comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Starstryder misses with a double jab.

Sisyphus uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Starstryder. Starstryder throws a nice looking combination but Sisyphus bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Sisyphus misses with a few strikes there.
Starstryder lands a lovely overhand right. Starstryder drops Sisyphus with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Sisyphus looks back up at him and smiles so Starstryder waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Sisyphus is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Starstryder misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sisyphus.
Sisyphus is still on wobbly legs! Can Starstryder finish him? Starstryder drops Sisyphus with a beautiful combination! Sisyphus stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Starstryder is looking for the KO! Starstryder thows a left - swing and a miss!
That's one minute gone in the round. Starstryder lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Sisyphus avoids the head kick by Starstryder.
Sisyphus seems to have recovered his senses. Sisyphus shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Sisyphus seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Starstryder is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Kyros Sisyphus! Kyros Sisyphus bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Keinanen looks for the body kick but Plant saw that one coming. Plant shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Plant showed some decent athleticism there. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Keinanen moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Plant slips nicely into half guard. Keinanen avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Plant. Keinanen is looking to control Plant's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Keinanen avoid being mounted? Keinanen is holding on to half guard well. Plant seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Keinanen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Plant not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Plant in particular looking to stall. Plant working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Keinanen is looking to improve his position.
Plant is looking to advance position but Keinanen won't allow it. Keinanen tries to get to full guard but Plant has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Plant wants to take a breather but Keinanen is having none of it. Keinanen on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Plant connects with a nice short shot to Keinanen's temple. Keinanen avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Plant. Keinanen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Plant trying to pass the guard but Keinanen defending well. Keinanen is staying active underneath Plant, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Plant is really struggling to control Keinanen but he's trying to hold on to the position. Plant controlling the pace. Plant wants to control but Keinanen is keeping him busy.

Some bone on bone action there as Plant checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Plant slips under a jab. Keinanen misses the shot to the body. Keinanen gets caught napping as Plant dives in and scores a takedown. Keinanen manages to retain guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Plant wants to control from the top but Keinanen keeps moving. Keinanen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Plant's guard. Plant controlling the position. Keinanen trying to control but Plant is working from the bottom. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
We're going to have a standup here because Simon Plant wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Keinanen feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Plant's calf. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Simon Plant dominated that round. That's time! Plant's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Ozmo Keinanen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Keinanen throws a half hearted mid kick. A bone on bone clash there as Plant blocks the leg kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Plant. Keinanen does a little dance to reset his feet. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Keinanen. Plant swings for the body but Keinanen moves out of range.
Keinanen connects with a single shot there. Keinanen dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Plant. That did some damage! Keinanen looks to land a body kick but Plant moved away. Good leg kick by Keinanen there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Plant looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Keinanen manages to get to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Plant trying to control the position from guard on top but Keinanen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Plant has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Keinanen is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Plant postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Keinanen working a defensive guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Plantis looking to pass into half guard but Keinanen pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Keinanen is in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Plant is on top in guard.
Keinanen manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Plant tries to hold on but Keinanen pushes him away. Keinanen goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Plant is on top in guard.
Plant working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Keinanen's head. Keinanen wants to sweep but no luck. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Keinanen is on top in guard.

Ozmo Keinanen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Keinanen can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Plant controls the pace. Keinanen trying to keep a closed guard but Plant is proving a slippery customer.

That's one minute gone in the round. Plant is staying tight to Keinanen's torso, preventing him from escaping. Plant seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Keinanen for as long as he can get away with. Plant creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Keinanen is letting Plant control him for a moment. Plant looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Keinanen is avoiding damage well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Plant working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Plant lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Keinanen down.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Plant wants to pass the guard but Keinanen is defending well. Plant working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Keinanen's thigh. Keinanen counters though and makes it back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Plantis looking to pass into half guard but Keinanen pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Keinanen is in guard. Keinanen looking to sit in guard and control but Plant gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Keinanen working for a triangle but Plant defends it easily.
Plant stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Keinanen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Plant trying to control but Keinanen is working from the bottom. Plantis looking to pass into half guard but Keinanen pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Keinanen is in guard. Keinanen wants to pass the guard but Plant is keeping the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
