The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Overeem throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A head kick misses from Overeem. A slow jab from Victorio misses its intended target. A head kick misses from Victorio. Overeem misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Baaf takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Utley tries to land a leg kick but Baaf saw it coming and moves away.

Baaf tries to get to his feet but Utley is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Baaf is in need of a savior and steps in!

and Vegas counters with a head kick. Justice connects with a crisp jab. Justice throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Vegas counters with a right hand to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! No joy there for Vegas, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Vegas moves into the clinch. Justice wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Vegas has him pressed against the cage. Justice drops down looking for an ankle pick but Vegas pulls his leg out and moves away.

Justice is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Vegas screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Rodriguez enables Tyler to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Rodriguez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Rodriguez is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Tyler's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Tyler keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rodriguez's head. Tyler is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that?
