The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lawson feints and as Haapasalo raises his hands in defense, Lawson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Undercard bout

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Horner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rauno Makynen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Horner comes to the cage accompanied by Roky Erickson - Stand For The Fire Demon. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.
