The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simmons takes a swing at Brown's ribcage but misses.
Simmons tries to score a power double leg takedown but Brown sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Simmons somewhat.
Brown fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Simmons manages to avoid it.
Simmons defending well as Brown loads up on a big left hand.
