Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Anthony D Amico! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ash Thomas! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! D Amico lands with an uppercut that bounces Thomas off the cage and back into range. Some bone on bone action there as D Amico checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. D Amico needs to keep his hands up - Thomas had a free shot at his head there. Thomas rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but D Amico moves out of range and avoids them all easily. D Amico tries to score a power double leg takedown but Thomas sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten D Amico somewhat. Thomas misses the shot to the body. Thomas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A jab from Thomas does it's job there. Thomas swings away with a leg kick that misses. D Amico fails with the takedown. Thomas looks to score with a jab to the body but D Amico is just out of range.

Thomas throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Thomas turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Ash Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. D Amico checks a leg kick. Thomas motions for D Amico to come forward. Thomas throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Thomas chopping away at his opponent's legs.

D Amico closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - D Amico lands in his opponent's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. D Amico with a nice head shot there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. D Amico drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and D Amico jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. D Amico loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. D Amico throws a big right hand that misses. D Amico throws a strike but Thomas rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Thomas trying to control but D Amico is working from the bottom. D Amico has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Thomas is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for D Amico. D Amico has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. D Amico is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. D Amico is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Thomas's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Thomas's back! Thomas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with D Amico. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! D Amico throwing sloppy strikes. Thomas avoids the strikes from D Amico. Even with his hooks in, D Amico manages to miss with strikes from the back. D Amico lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by D Amico.
D Amico lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. D Amico sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Thomas taps out!

The fighters are pinned against the cage. Freedom manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Chuin takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Freedom thows a leg kick but Chuin checks it and Chuin counters with a head kick. Freedom loads up on a big right hand but Chuin slips the punch. A head kick misses from Chuin. Master Chuin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Chuin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Freedom scores with a nice head shot. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Chuin checks a leg kick. A head kick misses from Chuin. A nice combination there by Freedom.

Rection feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Conrad's calf. Rection gets caught napping as Conrad dives in and scores a takedown. Rection manages to retain guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Rection not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Conrad postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Conrad has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Rection keeping full guard, as Conrad tries to pass.

He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Rection wants to lay and pray for a moment but Conrad keeps working. Rection tries to stand but can't do so whilst Conrad controls his leg. Rection trying to pass the guard but Conrad defending well. Conrad wants to improve his position but Rection is controlling well.

Rection looks for the body kick but Conrad saw that one coming. Rection misses with an uppercut. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Rection lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Conrad fails in his attempt to clinch. Conrad shoots in and bounces Rection off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

It looks like Hugh G Rection has been cut. Rection takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Rection misses with a wild body shot. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Rection, as that shot connected.
Rection fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Conrad looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rection paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Rection looks to land a combination. Conrad sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Jack Conrad's cut is getting worse. Rection throws the left hand but Conrad avoids the punch easily. Rection misses with a head kick.
Rection ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Rection stuffs the takedown attempt from Conrad. Conrad gets slowly back to his feet. Hugh G Rection seems to be getting the better of the standup. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Conrad misses with a low kick as Rection jumps back. Hugh G Rection is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Rection pushes Conrad away with a front kick. Rection feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Conrad sprawling to the canvas! Conrad rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Rection finish him?!
Jack Conrad's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rection sends Conrad crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Rection is motioning to the referee to let Conrad up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Prohaska swings for the body but Rasp moves out of range.
Rasp misses the jab. Prohaska misses with an uppercut
and Rasp counters by clinching up. Rasp jumps guard and drags Prohaska to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Prohaska lands a couple of elbows. Rasp is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Prohaska is aware though and is defending well. Rasp escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Prohaska gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Prohaska scoring with punches to the head and body. Rasp has momentary wrist control but Prohaska slips an elbow through the middle. Rasp avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Rasp is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Prohaska defends well. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rasp keeping moving, preventing Prohaska from controlling successfully. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Prohaska might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Prohaska doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Prohaska manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Prohaska keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rasp's head. Prohaska pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rasp is keeping the position for now. Prohaska lands a couple of digs. Prohaska is working Rasp over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Rasp looking for a guillotine here but Prohaska defends easily.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cavalera feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Cavalera slips nicely into half guard. Cavalera is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Okoro defends it well. Cavalera tries to pass the half guard into mount. Okoro knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Cavalera not landing any meaningful shots this time. Okoro is trying to control but can't.
Cavalera is pressing down on Okoro's thigh, looking to free his foot. Okoro is holding on for now. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Krutcher blocks a jab. Krutcher looks to land a left hand but Worrell moved out of range nicely. No joy there for Krutcher, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jab from Krutcher. Krutcher stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Worrell looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Krutcher fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Worrell manages to avoid it. Krutcher throws a jab when Worrell was well out of range. Krutcher misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Worrell ducks under a wild hook from Krutcher. A big left from Krutcher misses. Krutcher throws the kick towards the body but Worrell avoids it. Worrell lands a nice shot that snaps Krutcher's head back.

Krutcher swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Worrell throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Worrell scores with a jab to the head.

Jason Krutcher's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Worrell lands a nice hook to Krutcher's body. Krutcher takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ryan Larkin. Well Leiden has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
