13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Souka Sudoka! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Hugh Johnson and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boban lands with a nice body punch. Boban loads up on a big right hand but Sudoka slips the punch. Horrible takedown by Sudoka or perhaps it was just good defense by Boban which made him look bad. Sudoka drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Sudoka postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Boban is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sudoka, into his guard. Boban got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sudoka has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Boban has managed to get both his arms back between Sudoka's legs - danger averted. Boban avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sudoka is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Boban rolls with it to try and escape but Sudoka cranks on the arm and Boban is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dillon lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
It looks like Flying Knee has been cut. Knee pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Dillon scores with a nice strike. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Knee misses with an attempted mid kick.
A swing and a miss from Dillon. Dillon misses with a looping right. Knee misses with a head kick.
Nice defenses there by Knee. Dillon throws a looping overhand right but Knee ducks down to avoid it. Dillon looks to land a left hand but Knee moved out of range nicely. Dillon is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Knee. Dillon waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Knee. Dillon throws an off balance right hand
and Knee counters with a leg kick. Dillon looks to score with a jab to the body but Knee is just out of range. A punch combination from Dillon misses. The fighters circling - Dillon throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Knee slips a straight right by Dillon. Knee tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Knee wants to slow Dillon down by chopping away at his legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dillon swings widly with a right hand
and Knee counters with a head kick. That will keep Dillon thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Dillon is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Knee's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Dillon throws an ugly left hook that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Dillon misses with an uppercut
and Knee counters with a nice kick to the body. Knee misses with a low kick. Knee defending well as Dillon loads up on a big left hand. Dillon swings widly with a right hand
and Knee counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Dillon is lucky that one didn't land flush. Knee ducks under a wild hook from Dillon. Knee does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Dillon throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Knee sees it coming and avoids it easily. Knee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Knee slips a straight right by Dillon. Knee on the wrong end of a nice jab. Knee takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. BOOM! Dillon lands a beautiful left hook that drops Knee. Knee tries to recover but Dillon is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Knee lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Smith lands in his opponent's guard. Pot wants to get back to his feet but Smith is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Pot avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Smith missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Smith throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Smith must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Pot looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Smith in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Smith throws a big elbow that misses. Smith missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Smith throws a big right hand that misses. Smith with a nice head shot there. Smith tries to free his leg and advance position but Pot is retaining full guard. Smith working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Smith content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Smith in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Smith lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Smith throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pot works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Pot is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Smith stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Pot has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Smith manages to get his head free but now Pot has transitioned to an armbar! Smith grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Pot! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jack Pot! In his post fight interview, Jack Pot started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sullivan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Brown was well out of range. Poor timing from Sullivan. No luck with that takedown attempt from Sullivan. Sullivan drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Sullivan stops Brown from standing up. Sullivan looking to pass the guard. Brown wants to stand and escape but Sullivan is having none of it. Sullivan landing some decent shots from guard. Sullivan trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Sullivan stays in close to Brown's body and controls the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brown wants to stand up but Sullivan is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sullivan passes into half guard. Brown on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Sullivan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brown keeps working. Sullivan thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Sullivan trying to mount his opponent but Brown defends it. Brown wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sullivan content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Brown won't allow Sullivan to pass to mount. Sullivan controlling the pace.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Maurice Sullivan hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Sullivan shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Brown defends it nicely. Sullivan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brown paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown slaps away a takedown attempt from Sullivan, before circling back to the center of the mat. Murphy Brown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maurice Sullivan. Brown shoots for a double leg takedown but Sullivan sprawls well. He's pushed Brown's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Brown stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Brown wants it to stay on the feet. Brown scores with a takedown into Sullivan's guard. Brown wants to control from the top but Sullivan keeps moving. Sullivan has control of Brown's left arm, preventing Brown from doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brown engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sullivan looking for a guillotine here but Brown defends easily.

Maurice Sullivan dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Sullivan fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Brown. Brown leaves Sullivan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Brown throws a head kick but Sullivan moves out of range.

Brown shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sullivan as he jumps to the side. Sullivan moves in looking to clinch but Brown pushes him off. Brown showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Sullivan.
Brown closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Brown looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown prevents Sullivan from improving his position. Sullivan trying to control but Brown postures up.
Brown wants to pass the guard but Sullivan is defending well. Sullivan is looking to control Brown's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sullivan avoid being mounted?

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Maurice Sullivan. Brown shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Brown tries to control but Sullivan wriggling away. Brown avoids the attempt from Sullivan to control. Brown trying to control but Sullivan is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sullivan is desperately trying to improve his position but Brown has a good base and remains in mount. Brown goes for an armbar but Sullivan turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Sullivan. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Sullivan trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sullivan slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Sullivan looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Brown defending against the ground and pound. Brown is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Sullivan has just dragged him back down to the mat. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sullivan working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Sullivan tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Murphy Brown will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Brown gets tackled into the cage by Sullivan. Sullivan maintains the clinch. Sullivan stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Sullivan tries to land knees in the clinch but Brown avoids the damage to the body. Sullivan misses with a punch to the body.
Brown lands with a short shot to the head. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Sullivan has Brown pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Brown manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Sullivan lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Sullivan with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Sullivan makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Sullivan tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Sullivan tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Brown avoids it. Brown goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Brown just misses with a elbow thrown towards Sullivan's brow. Sullivan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Sullivan looks for a takedown but Brown sprawls well. Murphy Brown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maurice Sullivan.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sullivan looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Brown! Brown wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Sullivan is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Brown can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Sullivan looking to control but Brown is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Brown is bucking up trying to escape but Sullivan cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Brown really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Poor strikes thrown by Sullivan there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Brown wants to try and get back to his feet. Brown avoids a series of strikes thrown by Sullivan.
Maurice Sullivan has got the better of the ground game so far. Brown defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Sullivan. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Brown's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sullivan moves to the back. Sullivan is looking for the choke from the back position but Brown is controlling his hands well.
And that's the end of the fight! Maurice Sullivan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Sullivan has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The Day shoots for a takedown but Foran saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Haste The Day seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The Day throws a looping overhand right but Foran ducks down to avoid it. The Day shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. The Day showed some decent athleticism there. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. The Day is looking for a kimura but Foran is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for The Day to get the leverage. The Day is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Foran has managed to free his arm - good work. Foran works his way to full guard. Good work. The Day is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Foran seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The Day won't allow Foran to sweep him here. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ichabod Klopfenstein . Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
