The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamamoto closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

It looks like Takashi Yamamoto has been cut.
Freire throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Yamamoto stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Yamamoto counters with a single leg into guard. Freire didn't expect that.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
