Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Mika! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nikko Carter! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Viktor Lagutenko and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carter darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Carter swats away the attempt to clinch by Mika. Good shot there by Carter. Carter looks to land a combination but Mika avoids it well. A nice combination there by Carter.
Carter cracks Mika with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Mika throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Carter counters with a lovely straight right hand! Carter throws a left and a right that both miss
and Mika counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Mika. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mika content to stall in guard here. Mika seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Carter for as long as he can get away with. Carter is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carter wants to stand up but Mika is controlling him. Carter keeping moving, preventing Mika from controlling successfully. Mika stands and steps away. Carter gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Mika walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Mika throws the left hand but Carter avoids the punch easily. Mika falls off balance throwing a combination
and Carter counters with a series of strikes. Mika will be more careful next time no doubt. Carter misses with a looping left. Carter throws a right and a left that both miss. Nice shot lands for Mika.
It looks like Nikko Carter has been cut. Mika throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Carter counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Carter throws a shot to the body.
Mika shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Carter is trying to defend but Mika finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Mika is taking a breather. Carter says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mika has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Mika is nestled in close to Carter, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Carter pushes Mika off looking to stand but Mika dives back in and keeps control.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Ivan Mika just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Carter scores with a nice right hand.
Mika scores with a one two! Carter had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Carter lands a jab to the nose. Carter tries to clinch but Mika moves out of range. Mika swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Carter counters with a straight right hand. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mika closes the distance and pushes Carter back into the cage. A head punch on the inside from Carter fails to land. Carter throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Carter misses with some punches.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ivan Mika dominated that round. The cut man is working on Nikko Carter's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Mika closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Mika is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Mika slips a nice elbow through Carter's hands, connecting with Carter's forehead. Mika controlling the pace. Mika is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Carter doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mika.
That's one minute gone in the round. Still in half guard, Mika seems content to control. Mika stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. A big right from Mika misses. Carter tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mika swats him away and circles back towards the center. Mika's corner calls for a 1-2. Mika obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A left and a right from Carter both land. Nice combination. Mika throws a right hand that Carter ducks under and follows up with a left that Carter also avoids with ease. Mika displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Mika misses with a combination
and Carter counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Ivan Mika is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Carter scores with a three punch combo!
Carter throws a body punch but Mika moves out of range. Carter swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Mika counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mika decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Carter, up you get! A nice combination there by Mika.

Carter circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nikko Carter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Mika takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carter stalks Mika and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mika's face. Mika staggers backwards, shaken. Carter scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Carter scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Mika tries to clinch up. Mika shoots in looking for a takedown. Carter tries to sprawl out of it but Mika keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Carter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Mika closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mika in particular looking to stall. Mika thows a huge punch but Carter dodges it nicely.

They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mika ducks right into an uppercut from Carter. Mika gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Ivan Mika dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Nikko Carter's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Carter lands with a right hand. Mika throws a series of strikes that have Carter backpedaling.
Mika shoots in and bounces Carter off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Mika sitting in guard, not really doing much. Mika advances to half guard. Mika trying to control the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mika is looking to take a break and control but Carter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Carter looks like he's trying to stand up.
Mika with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Carter is staying active underneath Mika, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mika seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Mika is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Carter can do to turn this around?

Carter keeping moving, preventing Mika from controlling successfully. Mika is pushing down on Carter's leg trying to pass to half guard. Carter is fighting to maintain full guard but Mika has managed to sneak the leg through. Mika perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Mika seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Carter does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Mika trying to control the pace. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Ivan Mika is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Mika tries to close the distance and clinch up but Carter swats him away and circles back towards the center. Nikko Carter has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mika looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Mika throws a wild combination but nothing lands. And that's the end of the fight! Ivan Mika showed his dominance in that final round. Well Mika has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marley darts in and clinches Emelianenko up against the cage. Marley changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Emelianenko fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Emelianenko throws a hook to the side of Marley's head but Marley sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A big left from Emelianenko misses. Emelianenko lands a jab to the head.
It looks like Bob Marley has been cut. Marley displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Emelianenko. A punch combination from Marley misses. Marley lands a body shot.
Marley shoots in for a takedown but Emelianenko shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Emelianenko lands a head shot. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Marley tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Marley is breathing heavily. Emelianenko drops Marley with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Marley looks back up at him and smiles so Emelianenko waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Marley is rocked! Emelianenko checks a leg kick nicely. Oh Marley is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's one minute gone in the round. Marley leaves his chin hanging out and Emelianenko seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Marley crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
