The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith moves out of range of the body kick from Makounchi.
Makounchi misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Smith fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Smith shoots in and drives through. Makounchi sprawls well. Makounchi lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Makounchi. Makounchi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Makounchi throws the kick towards the body but Smith avoids it. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takeshi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hulk. Hulk throws a hook but Takeshi avoids it easily. Takeshi gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Takeshi misses with a hook to the ribs.
Takeshi swings wildly with an uppercut but Hulk uses good head movement to avoid it. Takeshi cracks Hulk with a nice body shot. Takeshi is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Manchu will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

This has been an exciting period of action! You get the feeling that Manchu really doesn't like being in this position too much.
BOOM! Kuukeri connects with a massive shot to the dome!
A big strike lands for Kuukeri! That's really hurt Manchu and he's turned his back - Kuukeri keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Kuukeri jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
