The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Edwards wants to clinch up but Haize keeps it at a distance. Edwards shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Haize defends it nicely. Haize lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Haize avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Haize connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Edwards momentarily.
Haize swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bo Haize seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Haize lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Haize throws a right and a left that both miss. Haize connects with a looping right hand.
Edwards shoots in and bounces Haize off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Haize is adopting a defensive guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. James goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kick prevents it.
James takes an elbow to the forehead.
It looks like Bubba James has been cut. James works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Kick avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kick wants to stand but James is controlling the position. James's corner is telling him to maintain position. James drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and James jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. James slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. James drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kick looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kick looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kick! James gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. James moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. James controlling Kick's posture.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Bubba James hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. James fails to land with a series of punches.
James forces Kick back against the cage and clinches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kick lands a nice elbow. Kick using the Thai plumb to throw knees but James has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
James pulls guard. James keeping moving, preventing Kick from controlling successfully. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if James can do anything to dispel that myth. Kick won't allow James to sweep him here.
Kyle Kick has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. James misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. James drives through with a takedown into Kick's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Kick trying to control the position.

Kick can't keep his opponent in guard - James advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Kick pushes James off looking to stand but James dives back in and keeps control.

Bubba James dominated that round. The cut man is working on Bubba James's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
James keeps the fight on the outside. James misses with a wild body shot. Kick is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kick moves in looking to clinch but James pushes him off. The fight stays on the outside here - Kick looks like he's thinking about clinching though. James is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kick's half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. James passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Kick! James takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. James is in the full mount, landing strikes. James postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Kick looks a forlorn figure.

Baker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cromptom moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Cromptom is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Baker. Baker throws a quick inside leg kick. Baker throws a right and a left that both miss. Cromptom avoids the head kick by Baker.

A head kick from Baker lands but Cromptom takes it in his stride. A nice inside leg kick there by Baker. That's going to slow Cromptom down. Baker connects with a solid leg kick. Baker lands a nice leg kick that just misses Cromptom's sensitive parts. Baker is looking to slow Cromptom down with leg kicks. Baker throws a leg kick which misses Cromptom's front leg but catches the back leg as Cromptom tries to avoid it. Baker lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Baker scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Cromptom shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Baker connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Baker throws a series of punches but Cromptom moves out of range. Cromptom drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Cromptom is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Baker goes for a high kick. It partially lands. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Baker pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Cromptom back to the cage. Baker follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Baker scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Baker stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Baker wants it to stay on the feet. Baker displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Cromptom shoots and misses and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Baker lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Baker. This has been an exciting period of action! Baker throws a series of strikes that have Cromptom backpedaling.
Cromptom is rocked! This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Cromptom. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Baker cracks Cromptom on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Cromptom falls backwards against the cage. Baker follows up with more strikes that drop Cromptom to his knees. Baker keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Cromptom! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matice Jr closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Matice Jr is controlling the pace.
It looks like Matice Jr might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Let's hope that Matice Jr has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Snowball moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Out throws a series of strikes that have Snowball backpedaling.
Out lets loose with a powerful body kick. Snowball will feel that in the morning. This has been an exciting period of action! Snowball is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Out. Snowball throws a right hand that Out ducks under and follows up with a left that Out also avoids with ease. Out scores with a head kick.
Snowball is rocked! Snowball throws a nice looking combination but Out bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Out scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Oh Snowball is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Out tries to bum rush Snowball with a series of wild strikes but Snowball uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Out lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anastasia misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
