The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A right-left combo lands from Melphy.
It looks like Francisco Massaranduba has been cut. Melphy swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Massaranduba counters with a nice double leg into side control. Melphy won't be happy with that. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Massaranduba working the ground and pound. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Benoit throws a right and a left that Krutov avoids nicely. Krutov scores with a spinning back kick! Benoit thows a left - swing and a miss! A slapping body kick lands there for Krutov. Krutov with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

It looks like Alexandr Krutov has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Krutov scores with a nice body kick.
Krutov bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Benoit throws a right and a left that both miss. Benoit drops Krutov with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Krutov looks back up at him and smiles so Benoit waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Benoit misses with a hook. Krutov ducked under it nicely. Krutov bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Benoit throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Krutov sees it coming and avoids it easily. Benoit on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Benoit lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Krutov up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Benoit from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Krutov's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gomez stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Stroy. Stroy stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Stroy wants it to stay on the feet. Stroy tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gomez paws at him with a jab and circles away. Gomez misses with a takedown attempt - Stroy sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Stroy keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marco Gomez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gomez gets a takedown into half guard. Gomez is working for a kimura but Stroy is defending it quite comfortably.

Gomez slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Gomez has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Stroy doesn't defend quickly enough and Gomez has managed to lock this one up! Can Stroy escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Gomez on a fantastic submission victory.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A momentary lapse in concentration from Pierriot enables Baldaia to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Pierriot manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Baldaia prevents Pierriot from getting back to his feet. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Puempel throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Anderson makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Anderson throws a lazy body kick and Puempel counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Puempel lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
It looks like Mark Anderson has been cut. Anderson fails to pull guard.

Linas is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lescott is controlling him. Linas will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Lescott trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Linas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lescott on the ground. Lescott stops Linas from standing up. Cote looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Pigeon moves away from the strike by Cote. Cote throws a right and a left that both miss. Cote doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Cote looks gassed! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pigeon throws a series of strikes that have Cote backpedaling.
It looks like Chris Cote has been cut. Pigeon connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Cote throws a sloppy head kick and Pigeon moves out of range easily. Pigeon misses with a body kick. Pigeon fakes the body blow, causing Cote to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Cote goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

Duguay looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Dux lands a nice leg kick that just misses Duguay's sensitive parts. Dux lands with a kick to the temple. Duguay shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Duguay is rocked! Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Duguay leaves his chin hanging out and Dux seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Duguay crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shonuck stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from McCormick. McCormick throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Shonuck's head. McCormick tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Shonuck is able to avoid easily. Shonuck moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Shonuck misses with a kick to the body.
Shonuck misses the shot to the body. Shonuck uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from McCormick. McCormick throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Shonuck on the side of the head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! McCormick goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. McCormick thows a body kick. Shonuck tries to catch it but that hurt him. Shonuck is on the wrong end of a nice combination from McCormick. Shonuck's jab looks to have found its range, popping McCormick under the eye. Shonuck fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. McCormick sprawls well initially but Shonuck persists and gets the takedown into half guard. McCormick wants to get back to full guard. McCormick is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. McCormick is concentrating on defense, preventing Shonuck from advancing position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McCormick trying to control but Shonuck postures up.

Shonuck manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. McCormick scores with a nice strike. McCormick turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Shonuck is breathing heavily. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by McCormick.
