Undercard bout

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Primo Carnera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carnera comes to the cage accompanied by DMX - one more road to cross. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machado scores with a jab to the body.

Carnera fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Machado sprawls well initially but Carnera persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Carnera throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Machado really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carnera. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Carnera is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Machado is just riding it out for now. Carnera eventually gives up the hold.
Carnera thows a huge punch but Machado dodges it nicely.

Carnera is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Machado doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Carnera.
Machado keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Carnera wants to take a breather but Machado is having none of it.
Carnera not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Carnera looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Carnera has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Carnera with shots to the head and body - Machado looks very uncomfortable down there.

Carnera is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Machado has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Carnera raining down shots from the mount!

Carnera pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Carnera is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Machado is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Carnera! Machado is hurt baaadly! Carnera is firing away with more strikes - Machado is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Le Tank slams King to the floor and that's really hurt King - he doesn't know where he is! Le Tank throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
