Smith shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Smith was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Smith shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Onatop is trying to defend but Smith finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Smith drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Onatop manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Smith has Onatop in his guard.

Onatop got a little sloppy there for a moment and Smith has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Onatop has managed to get both his arms back between Smith's legs - danger averted.
