1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Trainer Trainor! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Josh West and Colin Fray.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kameamea throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kameamea lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Trainor backs up against the cage.
Trainor feints and as Kameamea raises his hands in defense, Trainor changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Kameamea keeping moving, preventing Trainor from controlling successfully. Trainor passes into half guard. Trainor is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Trainor is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
This has been an exciting period of action! Trainor is controlling the pace.
It looks like Trainor might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Trainor is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Kameamea is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mirinda fails to land the takedown. Nice cross by Nine. Mirinda looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Nine is fending him off so far but Mirinda persists. Nope, Nine circles away and we're back to standing. Mirinda blocks a head kick by Nine.
Nine doesn't manage to clinch there - Mirinda circles away.

Nine steps into range and cracks Mirinda with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Mirinda flops backwards and Nine dives into his guard looking to finish!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nine slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Nine postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Mirinda is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Nine, into his guard. Nine utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Nine is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mirinda defends well. Mirinda trying to control but Nine is working from the bottom. Nine is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Nine looking for a sweep. Not yet Nine, not yet.
Nine working for a triangle but Mirinda defends it easily.
Nine is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mirinda defends well.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Mirinda trying to control but Nine is working from the bottom.
Nine has his foot on Mirinda's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mirinda works his way back into a safe position though. Mirinda trying to control but Nine is working from the bottom.
Nine is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Nine is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Mirinda prevents Nine from getting back to his feet. Mirinda passes easily into side control. Nice work. Nine being controlled for a moment.
Mirinda stands up and we're back to a striking position.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Nine misses with a jab, cross combination.

Mirinda gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Nine counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Mirinda down! Nine is looking to finish but Mirinda is intelligently defending himself.
 Mirinda is rocked! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mirko Mirinda. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nine works a leg free and moves into half guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Nine is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Mirinda tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Nine passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Mirinda! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Project Nine dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Nine throws a one two combo.
Mirko Mirinda is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nine fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Mirinda to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Mirinda looks to clinch but Nine throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Mirinda taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hurt looks to clinch and Vasil counters with a left to the body. Hurt throws a head kick but Vasil moves out of range.
Vasil changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hurt tries to avoid it but Vasil manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hurt to the ground. Hurt escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hurt moves into the clinch. Vasil throws a punch but it's blocked by Hurt. Vasil is defending well against a takedown attempt. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Hurt takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Vasil is fighting off a takedown attempt but Hurt is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Vasil to the mat. Vasil regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Hurt loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Hurt postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Vasil is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Vasil keeping moving, preventing Hurt from controlling successfully.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Hurt won't allow Vasil to sweep him here. Hurt tries to stand but Vasil is controlling from the bottom.
Hurt gets to his feet. Vasil looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Vasil flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Hurt darts in and clinches Vasil up against the cage.
Hurt pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hurt tries to clinch up. Vasil looks to land a combination but Hurt avoids it well. Horrible takedown by Vasil or perhaps it was just good defense by Hurt which made him look bad. Randy Hurt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cray Vasil. Vasil throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Hurt lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Vasil throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Vasil checks a low kick from Hurt. Hurt fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Hurt lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vasil circles away quickly and effectively. Randy Hurt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Hurt doesn't manage to clinch there - Vasil circles away.
A head kick misses from Vasil. Hurt slaps away a takedown attempt from Vasil, before circling back to the center of the mat. Vasil looks gassed! No luck for Vasil with that takedown attempt.

Hurt throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Vasil was covering up waiting for the punch and Hurt finishes the takedown easily into guard. Hurt postures up and lands a big shot to Vasil's brow.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Vasil is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hurt accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Hurt throwing strikes from guard but Vasil blocks nicely.
Hurt thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Hurt wants to control from the top but Vasil keeps moving. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hurt's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Hurt wants to control from the top but Vasil keeps moving.
Vasil is working an open guard so Hurt takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Randy Hurt dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Hurt rushes Vasil and presses him up against the cage. Hurt can't find room to land a body shot as Vasil controls the action.
Hurt misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Hurt stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Vasil misses with a body punch.
Hurt has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Vasil avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Hurt tries for a takedown. No joy.
Hurt is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Vasil is defending well for now.
Hurt's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Hurt. Hurt lands with a nice body kick.

Hurt is working for takedown but Vasil is calmly controlling the position for now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Randy Hurt. That's going to take a lot out of him.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Hurt throws a body kick that misses and Vasil makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hurt fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hurt drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Hurt has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Vasil is proving hard to escape from. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hurt stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vasil swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hurt thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Vasil wants to stand but Hurt is controlling the position. Vasil looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hurt trying to control the position from guard on top but Vasil is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Hurt shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Hurt looking to control but Vasil is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Hurt postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Vasil looks a forlorn figure.
Vasil takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Hurt controlling the pace for now. Vasil taking shots to the head.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Vasil wants to control but Hurt is having none of it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Vasil is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hurt looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Hurt jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Vasil manages to avoid the submission attempt. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hurt connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Vasil some visible discomfort.

Vasil has Hurt pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hurt manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Randy Hurt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cray Vasil. Vasil fails to pull guard.

Hurt gets in close and instigates a clinch. Hurt is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Vasil tries to break the clinch but Hurt is controlling the position. Hurt tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Vasil smiles and moves away.
Hurt changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Vasil looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Hurt scores with a couple of short elbows. Hurt cracks Vasil with an elbow. That is naaassty. You can see the frustration on Vasil's face as Hurt controls the position. Vasil wants to control but Hurt postures up. Vasil tries to improve position but can't. Vasil takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hurt cracks Vasil with a big right hand but Vasil just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Hurt wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Vasil, who protects the arm well.
Hurt is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Vasil has escaped the position, nice work there.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Vasil manages to work his way to half guard, despite Hurt's best efforts. Hurt lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Hurt trying to control from half guard but Vasil is working away. Hurt throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Hurt working over Vasil with some ground and pound. Vasil looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Hurt controlling the action here. Vasil trying to control but Hurt postures up.

Hurt stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Randy Hurt is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Hurt shoots in but Vasil avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hurt scores a takedown into full mount! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hurt scoring with strikes but Vasil is staying in there. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hurt goes for an armbar but Vasil turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Vasil. Hurt bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Vasil's guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Randy Hurt showed his dominance in that final round. Well Hurt has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

TimeTo Tap has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Renzo DeSilka. Tap leaves DeSilka with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. DeSilka shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tap as he jumps to the side. Tap swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fabiano Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gokou San! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! San lands with an uppercut that bounces Silva off the cage and back into range. Fabiano Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Silva tries a head kick but it misses.
San throws out a loose jab but Silva uses good head movement to avoid it. Silva falls off balance throwing a combination
enabling San to counter with a crisp jab. San avoids a punch combination nicely.
San should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. San with a jab. San lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silva circles away quickly and effectively. Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - San circles away.

San throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Silva doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. San's corner calls for a 1-2. San obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Silva misses with a takedown and San counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. No joy there for Silva, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

San lands with a good body shot. This has been an exciting period of action! San ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Silva swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and San counters with a right hand to the body. Silva is breathing heavily. San looks to land a combination. Silva sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
 It looks like Fabiano Silva has been cut. San scores with a three punch combo!
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva closes the distance but San moves to the side and San counters with a right hand to the body. San punishes Silva's body with a nice straight punch. San ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Silva walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. San cracks Silva with a right hand to the side of the head. San scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Oooooh!!! San has knocked Silva down with a huge combo! San steps away and waves a wobbly Silva back to his feet! This one might not go much longer! Silva takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. San scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. San fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Silva looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. San lands with a shot to the body. San scores with a jab to the body. Silva takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts San, as that shot connected.
San lands a slapping body shot.
San smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. San lands a jab to Silva's midsection. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! San bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Silva's head backwards. San fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gokou San dominated that round. The cut man is working on Fabiano Silva's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

San changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. San has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Silva takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Silva takes a shot right to the bread basket. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. San cracks Silva with a good jab. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! San lands a slapping body shot.

San scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. A cross from San lands. Silva walks into a jab. Gokou San is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. San looks to land a combination. Silva sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. San scores with a jab to the jaw. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. San connects with a nice looking jab.
 Fabiano Silva's cut is getting worse.

Silva looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. San lands a really nice looking cross but Silva seems unphased.
San scores with the left hand. Silva knows he should have avoided that one. A punch lands to the side of Silva 's head but he takes it in his stride. San connects with a body shot. San lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Decent striking displayed by San there. San connects with the punch. San lands a glancing blow to the side of Silva's head. San wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Fabiano Silva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. San swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Silva. San connects with a right hand. Silva shakes it off.
 Silva is rocked! San listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. San bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. San cracks a nice hook into Silva's ribs. Nice cross by San. San lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Oh Silva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! San scores with a punch to the head. San lands with a good body shot. Silva seems to have got his legs back now.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva takes a body punch but keeps moving. San is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Silva rather than just go for the knockout. San connects with a good right hand that stumbles Silva. Silva circles away out of range and recomposes himself. San works Silva's body with a nice hook. San throws a shot to the body.
San tests Silva's chin there with a solid looking shot. San lands a slapping body shot.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! San scores with a hook to the body. Silva takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. A left lands for San. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gokou San showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Fabiano Silva's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Silva takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. San throws a shot to the body.
Silva shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. San cracks Silva with an open hand slap. San cracks a nice hook into Silva's ribs. San lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. San lands a nice looking body shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! San fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Both fighters are breathing heavily. San clobbers Silva with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Silva takes one on the button.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Silva needs to keep his hands up - San had a free shot at his head there. San scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. A jab lands there for San. San scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Silva might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. It's a brutal combination of punches from San! Silva is backing up but he can't get away as San lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Silva and ends the fight. Great knockout.
