0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jax Delgado! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kelly misses with a double jab
and Delgado cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Kelly falls off balance throwing a combination
letting Delgado counter with a right hand. Delgado moves out of range of the body kick from Kelly.
A punch combination from Kelly misses. Delgado avoids the head kick by Kelly.
Delgado connects with a body shot. Kelly misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kelly swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Delgado counters with a left and a right that stings Kelly. Kelly throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Delgado counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Kelly has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Delgado finds it's way round the side to connect with Kelly's head. Kelly throws a series of punches but Delgado avoids them all with ease. Delgado fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Kelly misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Delgado.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A jab lands there for Delgado. Kelly takes one on the button.

Delgado catches Kelly with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Left hook, right uppercut from Delgado. Delgado connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Delgado avoids a punch combination nicely.
Delgado is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Kelly had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Delgado connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Kelly takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Kelly takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Delgado moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Kelly tries to move into range but Delgado moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That must have hurt him. Delgado closes the distance and lands a one-two. Delgado tests Kelly's chin there with a solid looking shot. Kelly takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Kelly throws a combination that misses and Delgado counters with a left to the body.

Max Kelly is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Delgado lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Delgado uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kelly has time to react. Delgado connects with a single shot there. Delgado looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Kelly throws a head kick but Delgado moves out of range.

Delgado displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Delgado lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kelly circles away quickly and effectively. Delgado moves out of range of the strikes. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kelly walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Kelly throws a nice looking combination but Delgado bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Jax Delgado comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Delgado has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jay shoots in for a takedown but Hill shows good takedown defense. Hill misses with an uppercut. Jay saw that one coming. Jay has closed the distance and engaged Hill in a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Hill's face as he tries to break the clinch. Jay's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Jay keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hill. Jay clinches. Jay displaying some good clinch control by pressing Hill up against the cage. Jay is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Hill to keep the fight standing. Hill tries to circle away but Jay has him pinned against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hill has had enough of the clinch but Jay keeps him there for the moment. Jay has picked Hill up - he's going for a ride! Jay dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Jay performing his best blanket impression for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jay's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Hill looks like he's trying to stand up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jay is taking a breather. Hill says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Dee Jay has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Jay fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dee Jay. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jay gets in close and instigates a clinch. Jay drags the fight down to the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hill wanted to stand there but Jay had control of the position. Hill won't allow Jay to sweep him here. Jay controlling Hill's posture. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Hill throws a body punch but Jay moves out of range. Jay moves into range and clinches up with Hill. Jay manages to pull guard.

Hill lands a head shot. A momentary lapse in concentration from Hill enables Jay to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hill manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Jay is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Jay won't allow Hill to get back to his feet. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Jay controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Dee Jay just wasn't active enough. Jay closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hill circles away.

Hill throws a looping overhand right but Jay ducks down to avoid it. Jay closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Jay turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Jay happy to just control the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Hill dodges the ground and pound from Jay.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Dee Jay just wasn't active enough. A punch combination from Hill misses. Hill might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Jay displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hill throws out the jab. Hill throws a shot from downtown. Jay moves away and avoids it. Jay misses with a takedown attempt - Hill sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Jay clinches with his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice body punch from Jay. Jay turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Jay manages to end up in side control. Hill is trying to buck Jay off. Hill parries the strikes from Jay easily there. Jay is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Hill to escape.
Jay tries to move into full mount but can't pass Hill's legs. Sloppy strikes there by Jay.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jay is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Hill will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Dee Jay overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Jay has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Hill! Jay thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

And that's the end of the fight! Dee Jay showed his dominance in that final round. Well Jay has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Kinte clinches up with Jom and pushes him back against the cage. Jom is trying to force a seperation but Kinte has the dominant position. Jom keeps control of Kinte as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Jom pushes off an throws an elbow but Kinte leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Kinte throws a punch but it's blocked by Jom. Jom lands with a light punch inside. Jom is trying to break the clinch but Kinte has him pressed against the cage. Jom is trying to force a seperation but Kinte has the dominant position. Kinte breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Jom tries to catch it but that hurt him. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kinte.
Kinte throws a nice inside leg kick. Kinte throws a front kick that sends Jom stumbling back into the cage. The fight stays on the outside here - Kinte looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kinte dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Jom. That did some damage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcgarry fails to land the takedown. Mcgarry shoots for a double leg takedown but Hong sprawls well. He's pushed Mcgarry's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Hong shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Mcgarry eats them both and turns towards Hong to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Hong tries for a takedown but Mcgarry circles away easily and Mcgarry counters with a nice double leg into half guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Hong wants to get back to full guard. Mcgarry wants to take a breather but Hong is having none of it. Hong is looking for a sweep. Mcgarry is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Mcgarry is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Mcgarry stands and throws Hong's legs to the side, diving into side control. Sloppy strikes there by Mcgarry. Mcgarry is working to tighten is grip on Hong's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Hong has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Mcgarry is really squeezing tight and eventually Hong passes out! Mcgarry breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A head kick misses from King. King thows a body shot but no joy. A slapping body kick lands there for King.
