The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Propa thows a left - swing and a miss! The fight stays on the outside here - Imhotep looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Imhotep is looking to clinch but Propa is avoiding it.

Propa looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Imhotep creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Propa's defenses.
It looks like Chuggy Propa has been cut. Imhotep keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Propa's efforts to push away. Propa wants to stall.

That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Imhotep tries to close the distance and clinch up but Propa swats him away and circles back towards the center. Propa lands a jab to the head.
Imhotep moves to clinch but Propa breaks away and Propa connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Propa rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Imhotep moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Propa throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Chuggy Propa's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Propa effectively controlling the action here. Rioca with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Bakhtin to score with a decent uppercut. Bakhtin connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Rioca is rocked! Rioca shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bakhtin as he avoids it easily. That's going to sap some energy. VortzU Bakhtin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zeca Rioca. Rioca takes a shot right to the bread basket. Rioca looks gassed! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bakhtin lands with a good body shot. Rioca takes a big uppercut there. Bakhtin follows up with a right hand that knocks Rioca into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!

After the fight, VortzU Bakhtin was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fuji slips a straight right by Soares. Fuji closes the distance and clinches. Soares tries to pull guard but Fuji won't allow it.
Soares tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Fuji smiles and moves away.
The fighters circling - Soares throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Soares throws a right and a left that Fuji avoids nicely. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Fuji shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Soares keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Soares is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Fuji's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Fuji's back! Soares is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Soares lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Fuji.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Fuji controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Fuji manages to reverse the position and now he's in Soares's guard. Nice work there by Fuji.

After initially coming in at 157.7lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Wilson wants to control but Nich is keeping him busy. Wilson lands a nice forearm strike. Wilson taking a breather here. Nich is trying to get back to his feet. Nich being controlled for a moment. Wilson scores with a couple of short elbows. Wilson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Nich knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

After the fight, Renato Laranja was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
