And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ground Pound!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pound throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Pound fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pound throws a low kick but it's checked well by Cooper.
Cooper tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A looping hook to the body misses from Pound. Cooper does a little dance to reset his feet.
Cooper throws a right hand that Pound ducks under and follows up with a left that Pound also avoids with ease.

Cooper closes the distance and pushes Pound back into the cage.
Pound using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
A left hand lands to the body for Pound.
Pound misses with a knee strike.
Pound swings wildly with an uppercut but Cooper uses good head movement to avoid it.
Pound lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Pound is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Pound struggles to land a body shot inside as Cooper controls his hands.

Pound lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Cooper looking for a takedown.

Cooper blocks the elbow strike.

Cooper has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Pound clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pound tries to roll but Cooper sticks to his back.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pound surviving as best he can, preventing damage.

Pound throws a front kick aimed at Cooper's knee but Cooper avoids it well.
Cooper shoots in but Pound avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Pound motions for Cooper to come forward. Pound throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Cooper fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Pound feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Cooper's calf.
Pound throws a hook to the side of Cooper's head but Cooper sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Cooper shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Pound defends it nicely.

Cooper closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Pound tries to roll over but Cooper keeps him under control.
Cooper is looking to advance position but Pound won't allow it.
Cooper thows a huge punch but Pound dodges it nicely.
Pound is staying active underneath Cooper, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Cooper content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Cooper is trying to work for a kimura but Pound is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pound is looking to control Cooper's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pound avoid being mounted?

Cooper looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Yack checks a leg kick nicely.
Lee keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Sloppy strikes from Yack. Those never looked like landing.
Lee slips a jab and a cross from Yack.
Lee thows a body kick. Yack tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Lee throws a hook but Yack blocks it.
Yack throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Yack scoring well with a low kick there.
Yack moves forwards but Lee connects with a nice, crisp jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Yack moves out of range of the strikes.
Yack tries to clinch up but Lee circles away and keeps his distance.
Yack misses with a body shot.
Lee keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Yack shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lee pinned against the cage. Lee gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Lee throws a hook but Yack blocks it.

and Lee counters with a crisp right hand that drops Yack! Lee lets Yack back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Lee throws a hook but Yack blocks it.
Lee misses with a body kick.

Lee throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lee is pawing at Yack, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Yack's nose. Yack is badly hurt! Lee pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Yack tries desperately to hold on but Lee is relentless in his assault! As Yack receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Lee away and this one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryan Lee!
Ryan Lee retains his middleweight title!
