And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ruiz Eonardo!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Sergei Dronov and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eonardo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Pogi manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Eonardo misses with a series of wild punches.
Pogi could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Pogi blocks a head kick by Eonardo.
Eonardo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pogi throws a sloppy body shot
and Eonardo counters with a one-two to the body.
Pogi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Eonardo was well out of range. Poor timing from Pogi.

Eonardo moves into the clinch.

Eonardo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Pogi.
Pogi landing a few strikes.

Pogi looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pogi throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Eonardo tries to improve position but can't.

Pogi thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Pogi is working Eonardo over with some ground and pound from side control.

Eonardo is rocked!

Pogi is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Eonardo is trying to escape and Pogi transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Eonardo is forced to tap! Nice work there by Pogi! Very nice indeed!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vodikoff shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Vodikoff throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Vodikoff working the head and body with strikes.
Vodikoff working over Rukas with some ground and pound. Rukas looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Vodikoff really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Rukas is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Vodikoff scores with a couple of nice shots.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Vodikoff lands with a punch from half guard.
Vodikoff has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Rukas is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Vodikoff scores with a couple of nice shots.
Rukas wants to get back to his feet.
Vodikoff is nestled in close to Rukas, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Vodikoff landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Vodikoff looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rukas with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vodikoff working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Vodikoff is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Rukas is rocked!

Vodikoff will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Vodikoff scores with a big shot! Rukas's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Rukas! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!

Braaf shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Braaf is trying to control the action in half guard but Perez is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Perez moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Braaf has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Braaf trying to stand up but can't free himself from Perez's guard.

Braaf is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Perez has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Braaf is looking to defend but Perez has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Braaf! Perez pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Braaf taps out and this one is all over!

Stewart gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Petrovich to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Petrovich will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Stewart had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Petrovich defends it easily.
Petrovich tries to free his leg and advance position but Stewart is retaining full guard.

Stewart is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Stewart should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Petrovich gets to his feet - Stewart follows without any prompting.

and Stewart counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Petrovich's guard now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Petrovich is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Stewart is controlling him.
Petrovich is pulling down on Stewart's head. It's preventing any offense from Stewart, at least for the moment.

Petrovich pushes Stewart off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Petrovich shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Petrovich showed some decent athleticism there.
Petrovich wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stewart keeps working.

Stewart misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Petrovich fails with an attempt to clinch.
Stewart shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Petrovich as he jumps to the side.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Petrovich decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Stewart, up you get!

Petrovich shoots in looking for a takedown. Stewart tries to sprawl out of it but Petrovich keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stewart manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Petrovich throws a combination that misses

and Stewart counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Stewart.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mikail Petrovich dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Stewart goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Stewart looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Petrovich!
Petrovich can't escape the position.
Poor strikes thrown by Stewart there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

The ref stands the fighters back up. Mikail Petrovich wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Petrovich stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Petrovich wants it to stay on the feet.

Stewart shoots in and gets a takedown into Petrovich's guard.
Stewart is breathing heavily.
Petrovich is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Stewart won't allow Petrovich to sweep him here.
Petrovich lands a couple of decent looking body shots there.
Stewart looking to sit in guard and control but Petrovich gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Petrovich slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Mikail Petrovich overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Petrovich decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Stewart rushes Petrovich and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Petrovich changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Stewart fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Stewart tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Petrovich paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Petrovich manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Stewart on his heels. He'll look to pass Stewart's guard now, I'm sure.

Petrovich wants to control from the top but Stewart keeps moving.

Petrovich seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Stewart is trying hard to land a takedown here. Petrovich sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Petrovich shoots in and bounces Stewart off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Mikail Petrovich has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Efeanyina Stewart.

Stewart takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Petrovich manages to get to full guard.
Stewart wants to control from the top but Petrovich keeps moving.

Petrovich manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Petrovich avoids the attempt from Stewart to control.

Petrovich is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Stewart is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Stewart flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Petrovich anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Stewart and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Petrovich slips an arm under Stewart chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Petrovich has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Petrovich is squeezing on Stewart like an anaconda would it's prey. Stewart fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
