Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Matto Luuttu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sancho Pancha! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.

Luuttu closes the distance looking to clinch and Pancha makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Pancha drives through and clinches with Luuttu against the cage.
Luuttu is fighting off a takedown attempt but Pancha is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Luuttu to the mat. Luuttu regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Luuttu is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pancha defends well.
Luuttu is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pancha is aware though and is defending well. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pancha gets to his feet - Luuttu follows without any prompting.
Luuttu gets a double leg takedown into Pancha's guard. Pancha wants to sweep here but Luuttu controlling him for the moment. Luuttu lands a couple of digs. Pancha keeping full guard, as Luuttu tries to pass.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pancha keeping moving, preventing Luuttu from controlling successfully. Pancha has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Luuttu can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Luuttu pushing down on Pancha's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Luuttu throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Pancha avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Luuttu. Luuttu missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Pancha is trying to stand up here but Luuttu is controlling him well.
Luuttu is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Luuttu lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Pancha slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Luuttu scoring with punches to the head and body. Luuttu is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Pancha utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Luuttu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pancha swivels though and keeps the full guard. Luuttu trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Luuttu is in close to Pancha's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Luuttu has gone for a leg lock! Pancha slips out almost immediately though and dives into Luuttu's guard. Luuttu looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pancha is one step ahead there. Luuttu manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pancha manages to get himself to full guard.
Luuttu trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Pancha has momentary wrist control but Luuttu slips an elbow through the middle. Luuttu loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matto Luuttu dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Pancha throws a series of punches but Luuttu avoids them all with ease. Luuttu looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Matto Luuttu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pancha throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Luuttu changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pancha tries to avoid it but Luuttu manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pancha to the ground. Pancha escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Luuttu fails with the takedown and Pancha cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matto Luuttu. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Luuttu bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. An elbow from Luuttu crashes against the mat.
Luuttu lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. You can see the frustration on Pancha's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Luuttu scoring with punches and elbows. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Luuttu postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Luuttu lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Luuttu looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Luuttu lands a big elbow - Pancha is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Luuttu!

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mukassa Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miksu Rupunen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rupunen is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Johnny Cash - God's Gonna Cut You Down. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

and Jones counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Rupunen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jones. A decent looking body kick lands there for Jones. Rupunen tries to move into range but Jones moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Jones lands a leg kick that knocks Rupunen off balance momentarily. Jones jabbing away but nothing is landing. Rupunen tries to bum rush Jones with a series of wild strikes but Jones uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Jones smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Rupunen's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Rupunen duly obliges. Rupunen throws a right and a left that both miss. Miksu Rupunen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rupunen bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Jones throws a nice outside leg kick. Jones lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Rupunen misses with a double jab
and Jones counters with a right hand to the body. Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jones misses with a straight right. Jones throws a shot from downtown. Rupunen moves away and avoids it. Rupunen throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Rupunen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Jones connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Jones tries a head kick but it misses.
Jones throws a hook to the side of Rupunen's head but Rupunen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Jones tries a low kick but Rupunen avoids it. Rupunen throws a right and a left that Jones avoids nicely. Jones scores with a hook. Jones throws out a token jab with nothing on it. The crowd cheers as Jones lands an impressive looking overhand right. Rupunen doesn't seem phased though. Good exchange - Jones coming out on top.

Rupunen checks a low kick from Jones. Jones lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Rupunen misses with a takedown attempt and Jones counters with a nice uppercut. Mukassa Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miksu Rupunen. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Rupunen, as that shot connected.
Rupunen scores with a jab to the body. Rupunen throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Rupunen takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Jones slaps away a takedown attempt from Rupunen, before circling back to the center of the mat. Nice shot lands for Jones. Jones connects with the punch. and Rupunen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Jones lands a lovely overhand right. Rupunen looks to land a combination but Jones avoids it well. Rupunen slips a jab from Jones. Jones scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Jones lands with an overhand left.
Rupunen fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jones to the ground. Rupunen is now in Jones's guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Rupunen would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Jones can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rupunen controls the pace. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jones misses with a body shot.

and Jones counters with a nice uppercut. Jones thows a body shot but no joy. Rupunen fails with the takedown and Jones counters with a nice leg kick. Rupunen is breathing heavily.

Jones is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Rupunen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Jones looks to score with a jab to the body but Rupunen is just out of range. A looping hook to the body misses from Jones. Rupunen does a little dance to reset his feet. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Jones.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Rupunen fails with the takedown. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nice shot by Jones.

A low kick from Destruction lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mills has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mills and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Mills looks to land a left hand but Destruction moved out of range nicely. Destruction throws a front kick that sends Mills stumbling back into the cage. Destruction misses with a body shot. Mills on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Destruction fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Destruction bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Mills lands a glancing blow to the side of Destruction's head. Mills has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Destruction. Destruction moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

This has been an exciting period of action! Phife misses with a looping right. Nikov thows a body shot but no joy. Phife looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Phife circles away from the clinch attempt.
Phife moves away from the strike by Nikov. Nice defenses there by Phife. Nikov tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Phife defending well as Nikov loads up on a big left hand. Phife tries to work over Nikov's front leg with a kick but Nikov checks it. Phife looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Phife connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Nikov momentarily.
Phife lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Nikov falls backwards - clearly groggy! Phife dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Barney Phife! A very excited looking Barney Phife rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

Pejkaiya shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kulakov manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Kulakov wants to stand up but Pejkaiya is controlling him. Pejkaiya wants to control from the top but Kulakov keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pejkaiya tries to free his leg and advance position but Kulakov is retaining full guard. Kulakov is looking to stand up but Pejkaiya isn't so interested in that idea. Pejkaiya stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kulakov swivels though and keeps the full guard. Pejkaiya is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Pejkaiya trying to control the position from guard on top but Kulakov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Pejkaiya tries to move into range but Kulakov moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. A left lands for Pejkaiya. Pejkaiya is looking to clinch but Kulakov is avoiding it.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Kulakov drops Pejkaiya with a beautiful combination! Pejkaiya stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Kulakov is looking for the KO!

Pejkaiya seems to have recovered his senses. Pejkaiya looks to land a right hand but Kulakov moved out of range. A looping hook to the body misses from Kulakov. Pejkaiya does a little dance to reset his feet.
Pejkaiya shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kulakov's guard.

Pejkaiya might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kulakov kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Pejkaiya stays in close to Kulakov's body and controls the position. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Jokinen dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Negreanu. That did some damage! Negreanu swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Negreanu looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Otto Jokinen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Negreanu.

He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Key and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Devil takes a swing at Key's ribcage but misses. Key fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Devil misses with a hook. Key ducked under it nicely. Key walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Key avoids the head kick by Devil.
