The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parcon misses with an uppercut. Quintes saw that one coming. Quintes staying out of range there. Quintes walks into a left hand.
It looks like Migeal Quintes has been cut. Parcon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Quintes tries to avoid it but Parcon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Quintes to the ground. Quintes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. He's persisting with it as Quintes sprawls well. Quintes wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Parcon gets slowly back to his feet. Parcon misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Quintes.

and Quintes counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Parcon! The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Quintes tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Parcon must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Parcon postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Parcon is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Quintes is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Quintes has escaped and now he's on top! Parcon wants to stand up but Quintes is controlling him.

He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Quintes working for a triangle but Parcon defends it easily.

Spiegel sees it coming and avoids it easily. Spiegel misses the shot to the body. Spiegel lands a nice looking body kick. A kick lands to the mid section there for Spiegel. Karalis takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. A good leg kick by Spiegel. Spiegel lands a jab to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action! Karalis pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Spiegel explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Spiegel tries to bum rush Karalis with a series of wild strikes but Karalis uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Karalis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Spiegel.

Karalis takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Karalis scores with a decent looking hook. A chopping leg kick lands by Spiegel.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spiegel darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Some bone on bone action there as Spiegel checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Karalis lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Spiegel has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Spiegel and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Spiegel takes the fight into the clinch. Spiegel is pushing Karalis up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Spiegel tries to land knees in the clinch but Karalis avoids the damage to the body. Spiegel is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Spiegel using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Karalis has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Karalis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Karalis with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Karalis misses with a leg kick and Spiegel counters with a good, hard body kick but Karalis shrugs it off. The fighters circling - Karalis throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Spiegel really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Spiegel scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Karalis goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Karalis cracks Spiegel with a right hand to the side of the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Spiegel slips a jab from Karalis. Karalis takes a body punch but keeps moving. Spiegel tries to close the distance and clinch but Karalis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Spiegel blocks a low kick nicely. Karalis has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Spiegel. Karalis tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Spiegel was well out of range. Poor timing from Karalis. Spiegel works the jab nicely. Jab by Spiegel. Karalis has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Karalis there as he acknowledges the shot. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Karalis misses with a body shot.

I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Spiegel just misses with a elbow thrown towards Karalis's brow. Spiegel dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Karalis on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Drennan uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Dulin. Drennan dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Dulin. That did some damage! Drennan tries to land a leg kick but Dulin saw it coming and moves away.
