The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacPherson throws a nice looking combination but Ryan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
RR Ryan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
MacPherson feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Ryan's calf.
Ryan attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Ryan takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

MacPherson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ryan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Yama shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

James throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

James rushes Yama and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

James wants the takedown. Yama is fighting it off but James persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Yama's guard against the cage.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
James wants to stand and escape but instead Yama has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

James escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Yama gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammer looks to land a body kick but Mason moved away.
Mason tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hammer was well out of range. Poor timing from Mason.

Mason throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hammer tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Mason is in Hammer's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Mason is pushing Hammer up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Hammer can't find room to land a body shot as Mason controls the action.
Mason is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Hammer is keeping busy.
Mason lands a right hand that snaps the head of Hammer backwards.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Mason.

and Mason counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hammer won't be happy with that.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Mason is working to tighten is grip on Hammer's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Hammer has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Mason is really squeezing tight and eventually Hammer passes out! Mason breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
