The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pendragon avoids a punch combination nicely.

Pendragon manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Mercier on his heels. He'll look to pass Mercier's guard now, I'm sure.
Pendragon wants to stand but Mercier has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Pendragon must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Mercier had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pendragon defends it easily.

Pendragon decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Mercier, up you get!

Mohammadpourkarkarragh feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Henderson sprawling to the canvas! Henderson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Mohammadpourkarkarragh finish him?!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Henderson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Mohammadpourkarkarragh did well to prevent Henderson getting side control.
