Mac has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good standup being displayed there by Hoivunen as he connects with a hook. Hoivunen throws a head kick that misses. Hoivunen scores with a nice strike. Hoivunen plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Hickman with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hoivunen to score with a decent uppercut. Hoivunen cracks the inside of Hickman's front leg. Hoivunen lets loose with a powerful body kick. Hickman will feel that in the morning. Hoivunen smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Hickman chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hoivunen can pounce on him.

McSweeney tries to avoid it but Ramirez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McSweeney to the ground. McSweeney escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Randall McSweeney seems to be getting the better of the standup. McSweeney closes the distance and pushes Ramirez back into the cage. McSweeney breaks from the clinch.

The fighters are pinned against the cage. McSweeney manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Ramirez takes a head kick and keeps coming.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ramirez avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pearce shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Sword trying to hold on to Pearce's head to control him but Pearce postures up.
Sword avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Pearce. Pearce drops an elbow to the side of Sword's head. Pearce not landing any meaningful shots this time. Pearce throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Sword to regain full guard. Sword is controlling Pearce's posture. Pearce throws an elbow that misses. Sword uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Pearce's guard. Nice move by Sword! Pearce is looking to stand up but Sword isn't so interested in that idea.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pearce preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Pearce is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Pearce is looking to break free of the clinch but Sword has double underhooks. Sword breaks from the clinch.
A big right from Sword misses. Pearce with a lazy takedown attempt and Sword counters with a takedown into side control. Sword wants to control but Pearce is keeping him busy. Pearce tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sword wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Sloppy strikes there by Sword. Pearce is trying to get back to half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sword landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Sword landing strikes. Pearce is trying to improve his position. Sword throws an elbow but Pearce slips to the side and avoids it well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sword scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Pearce to see if he's OK. Sword works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. What's Pearce going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Sword lands a few punches from side control. Pearce on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Pearce is rocked! Sword working the ground and pound from side control. Oh Pearce is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Sword lands a strong strike to the head of Pearce. That's dazed him! Sword looking to finish here. Pearce is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Sword lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Poppy takes a shot right to the bread basket. Cooper looks to land a combination. Poppy sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Poppy misses with a body shot.
Poppy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cooper looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Cooper tries to get back to half guard but can't. Poppy looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Poppy trying to control the action but Cooper is working from the bottom. Poppy happy to just control the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cooper is looking to regain half guard here but Poppy keeps moving and retains side control. Poppy tries to advance to mount but can't. You can see the frustration on Cooper's face as Poppy controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cooper manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Poppy moves into full guard.
Poppy is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cooper is aware though and is defending well. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Cooper trying to control the position from guard on top but Poppy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Poppy working for submissions but it's allowed Cooper to get to half guard.

Cooper wants to take a breather but Poppy is having none of it. Poppy is pressing down on Cooper's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Cooper is looking to advance position but Poppy has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Cooper has given up his back here. Will Poppy look for the submission or keep pounding away?
Poppy working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Cooper is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Poppy has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Cooper taps out!
