Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Davy Bauwens! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lee Takashi! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takashi swings away with a leg kick that misses. Bauwens misses with a straight left. Takashi lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Bauwens shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Takashi looks to score with a jab to the body but Bauwens is just out of range. Bauwens blocks a jab. Takashi keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Bauwens bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Takashi throws a leg kick that misses. Takashi throws a hook to the side of Bauwens's head but Bauwens sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Takashi throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Decent striking displayed by Takashi there. Bauwens dives in and grabs Takashi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Takashi pushes down on Bauwens's head and hops out. Bauwens moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Takashi takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bauwens uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Takashi. Takashi lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Bauwens looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Takashi is fending him off so far but Bauwens persists. Nope, Takashi circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Davy Bauwens. That's going to take a lot out of him. Takashi throws a hook to the side of Bauwens's head but Bauwens sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Lee Takashi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Bauwens really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Bauwens tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Takashi is able to avoid easily.

Bauwens on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Takashi is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Bauwens had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Takashi wants to clinch up but Bauwens keeps it at a distance. Takashi scores with a jab to the jaw.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcallen scores with a spinning back kick! Mcallen tries to close the distance and clinch but Guerrero swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Mcallen gets caught flat footed, as Guerrero shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Mcallen is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Guerrero has his hands clasped together but Mcallen extends an breaks Guerrero's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Mcallen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Leepen. Leepen fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Leepen throws a strike aimed at the side of Mac's head but Mac avoids it well. Mac is not content to let Leepen control the position. Leepen sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Mac is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Leepen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Mac takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yamada tries to score with a low kick but Shinichi moves his leg out of the way. Shinichi drops his hands momentarily and Yamada takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Kazuhiro Yamada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Yamada connects with a right hand. Shinichi shakes it off. Yamada clobbers Shinichi with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Shinichi shoots in but no luck this time. Nice body punch from Yamada. Yamada just misses with a punch to the body.

We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Yamada tries to get out of the position. Shinichi is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Yamada defends it well. Shinichi is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Yamada is looking for a sweep. Shinichi is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That was a close round but I would say that Kazuhiro Yamada will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Shinichi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Yamada as he jumps to the side. Shinichi takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Yamada is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Yamada jabs at Shinichi's body. Yamada gets tackled into the cage by Shinichi. Shinichi maintains the clinch.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crunch! Kim slams his shin into Winner's torso. Kim tries to bum rush Winner with a series of wild strikes but Winner uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Kim misses with a straight left. Winner has a takedown stuffed. Kim attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Winner changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kim looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Winner is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kim has escaped the position, nice work there. Kim tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Winner wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Kim manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Winner controlling the position well. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Winner is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kim's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kim's back! This has been an exciting period of action! Winner is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Kim is defending well though. Winner let's go of the attempt for now. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Winner is on top in guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vaughn throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Hacking stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Vaughn. Vaughn lands with a good body shot. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hacking is defended easily by Vaughn. Hacking shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Hacking takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Hacking fails with a takedown attempt from distance. James Vaughn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clayton Hacking. This has been an exciting period of action! Vaughn throws a good cross that connects.
