The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cruz gets caught flat footed, as Monkey shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Cruz keeping moving, preventing Monkey from controlling successfully.
Monkey tries to free his leg and advance position but Cruz is retaining full guard.

Monkey drops back, looking for a kneebar! Cruz looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Cruz looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Cruz!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cruz avoids the attempt from Monkey to control.

Cruz gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Monkey to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Monkey drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Cruz manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Monkey has Cruz in his guard.

Lufi Monkey comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Monkey has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

OQuinn lands a nice forearm strike.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
OQuinn wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zdravkov keeps working.

Let's hope that OQuinn has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Zdravkov really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looks like OQuinn might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

OQuinn fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Zdravkov is in a horrible position here. OQuinn smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Oh Zdravkov is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Thomas cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Thomas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mcmarion tries to avoid it but Thomas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mcmarion to the ground. Mcmarion escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Thomas lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mcmarion has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mcmarion and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
