The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vonstein dodges the punch combination from Barbarossa.
Barbarossa lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vonstein circles away quickly and effectively.
No luck for Vonstein with that takedown attempt.
Vonstein shoots in but no luck this time.
Barbarossa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Vonstein fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Barbarossa sprawls well initially but Vonstein persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Vonstein is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Barbarossa is trying to control but can't.
Vonstein works his way into side control.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Barbarossa is looking to reverse the position.

Vonstein has hold of Barbarossa's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Barbarossa tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Vonstein cranks the arm and Barbarossa screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Barbarossa, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tinterputipa throws a series of punches but Gonzalez avoids them all with ease.
Gonzalez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tinterputipa tries to avoid it but Gonzalez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tinterputipa to the ground. Tinterputipa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Gonzalez shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tinterputipa's guard.

Gonzalez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tinterputipa on the ground.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mcgarry shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Cruz counters with a nice uppercut.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Micky Mcgarry. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cruz throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Mcgarry's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Cruz dives in looking to finish as Mcgarry flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Cruz's strikes! Cruz is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Mcgarry's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Mcgarry was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Orlan lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Strong has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Strong and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

An inside leg kick lands from Orlan.
The fighters circle, before Orlan throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Strong's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Orlan lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
