The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Fry looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Fry looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Jones pushes Fry off and gets back to his feet.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fry sprawls well. Fry wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jones gets slowly back to his feet. Jones is looking to clinch. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Del Norte distracts Bull with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Del Norte passes easily into side control. Nice work. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Del Norte throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Bull looking for a sweep but Del Norte has passed into full mount! Oh no! Del Norte with shots to the head and body - Bull looks very uncomfortable down there. Bull tries to get back to half guard but can't. Del Norte lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
You get the feeling that Bull really doesn't like being in this position too much.
