0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Charlie Cooper! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Spar Boxing! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, John Mangel and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cooper takes one to the chin there. Spar Boxing seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cooper avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Boxing lands with an overhand left. Cooper tries to move into range but Boxing moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Boxing tries to clinch up and Cooper moves into the clinch. Boxing looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Cooper lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Boxing scores with a shot to the side of Cooper's head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cooper misses with a punch to the body.
Cooper lands a nice knee to the body. Boxing looks gassed! Cooper breaks from the clinch.
Cooper dives in and grabs Boxing's left leg, looking for a takedown. Boxing pushes down on Cooper's head and hops out. Cooper throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Boxing's waist but Boxing gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cooper off to one side. Cooper on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Cooper lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Boxing circles away quickly and effectively. Cooper closes the distance and clinches. Cooper pushes Boxing back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Cooper tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Boxing's elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cooper misses with a hook to the ribs.
Boxing looking to stall.
Cooper breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Boxing feints a jab promting Cooper to slip. Boxing then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Cooper slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Cooper looks for a takedown but Boxing sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charlie Cooper. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cooper misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. No luck for Cooper with that takedown attempt. Boxing leaves Cooper with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Boxing dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Cooper takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Boxing tries to clinch but Cooper moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boxing bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Boxing feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Coopers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Boxing looks to land a combination. Cooper sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Boxing lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Boxing tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cooper swats him away and circles back towards the center. Boxing feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Coopers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Cooper is rocked! Cooper circles away from the clinch attempt.
Oh Cooper is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Cooper on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Cooper seems to have got his legs back now. Boxing lands a really nice looking cross but Cooper seems unphased.
Boxing tries to clinch up. Boxing fails with an attempt to clinch.
Boxing feints with a jab and clips Cooper right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Cooper is sent crashing into the canvas and Boxing leaps in for the kill! Cooper tries to get to his feet but Boxing is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Cooper is in need of a savior and steps in!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Spar Boxing!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sins keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sins takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Sins throws a looping overhand right but Propect ducks down to avoid it. Propect moves into range and connects with a jab. Propect connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Sins fails in his attempt to clinch. Sins misses with a kick to the body.
Propect tries to clinch there but Sins circles away.
Sins misses with a takedown and Propect counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Sins shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Propect but Propect pushes him off and we're back to square one. A punch combination from Propect misses. Sins shoots in looking for a takedown. Propect tries to sprawl out of it but Sins keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Propect manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Joe Propect has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johny Sins. Sins circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sins closes the distance and clinches up with Propect, looking for a takedown. Sins pushes Propect against the cage but Propect circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Sins with a poor takedown and Propect connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Johny Sins has been cut. Propect lands an overhand right. Propect has taken the fight to the clinch.
A battle for position here, against the cage. Propect tries to circle away but Sins has him pinned against the cage. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Sins as Propect tries to tie him up. Sins misses with an elbow over the top. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Propect. Propect misses with a hook to the ribs.
Sins blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Propect doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
A head punch on the inside from Propect fails to land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Propect misses with a short punch on the inside. Propect misses with a knee strike.
Sins blocks a body shot from Propect. Sins tries to pull guard but Propect holds him up against the cage and eventually Sins drops back down to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sins pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Propect scores with a nice right hand.
Sins walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Propect swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Propect. Sins does a little dance to reset his feet. Sins tries to close the distance and clinch but Propect swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Sins takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Propect keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
A nice inside leg kick there by Propect. That's going to slow Sins down. Propect lands a nice hook to Sins's body. Sins takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Sins looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sins avoids the body shot from Propect.

Sins moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Sins is rocked! Propect weaves into range and cracks Sins right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Sins goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Propect is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Casey Edgar! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, John Mangel and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Prien decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Edgar wants to get back to full guard. Edgar actively working from the bottom here. Prien is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Prien wants to free his trapped foot but Edgar is holding on for dear life with his legs. Prien is trying to work for a kimura but Edgar is defending well.
Edgar has his hands clasped together around Prien's back. He's all about the action. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Prien seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Edgar does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Prien is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Edgar defends it well. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Prien works his way into full mount! Edgar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Prien. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Prien connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Prien is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Prien extends the arm and Edgar is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Martin Prien! After winning the bout, Martin Prien thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lesnar has his takedown stuffed and GM counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. GM tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lesnar swats him away and circles back towards the center. GM lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Lesnar at a distance.
Lesnar gets caught napping as GM dives in and scores a takedown. Lesnar manages to retain guard. Lesnar looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. GM postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. GM won't allow Lesnar to sweep him here. Lesnar manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. GM manages to get himself to full guard.
Lesnar stopping the sweep attempt from GM. GM is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. GM looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lesnar is one step ahead there. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lesnar accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. GM working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lesnar. Lesnar lands a couple of elbows. GM looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Lesnar works over GM with some ground and pound from guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lesnar lands a couple of digs. Lesnar wants to pass the guard but GM is keeping the position. GM pulls Lesnar in to control the position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lesnar stopping the sweep attempt from GM. Lesnar lands a couple of digs. GM avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Lesnar should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Lesnar is in close to GM's body, working some short punches and elbows. Lesnar stopping the sweep attempt from GM. GM working a defensive guard here.
GM knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lesnar on the ground. GM is pulling down on Lesnar's head to control his posture. Lesnar pushes down on GM's leg and manages to get into half guard. Lesnar drops an elbow to the side of GM's head.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lesnar thows a huge punch but GM dodges it nicely.

GM is rocked! GM is looking for a sweep. Lesnar is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Oh GM is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! GM is breathing heavily. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lesnar connects with a nice short shot to GM's temple. Lesnar passes to side control. Lesnar thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. GM takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lesnar scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh GM is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Lesnar can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Robinson tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Sahebt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Johnny Sahebt! Johnny Sahebt decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.

Connelly working hard to break the clinch. Connelly tries to pull guard but Muntz forces him back to his feet, against the cage. A nice right hand lands inside from Muntz. A left hand lands to the body for Muntz.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Muntz lands with a short head shot on the inside. Muntz lands a right hand that snaps the head of Connelly backwards. Muntz lands with a light punch inside. Muntz pushes Connelly back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Connelly looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round. Muntz lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Connelly backwards. Muntz creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Connelly's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Connelly drops to his knees and Muntz pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Watsky wants to clinch up but Rush keeps it at a distance. Watsky displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Rush. Rush gets a takedown into half guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Rush controlling the pace. Rush's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Watsky tries to get to full guard but Rush has control of the leg. Watsky is trying to stand up here but Rush is controlling him well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rush decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rush looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Watsky is fending him off so far but Rush persists. Nope, Watsky circles away and we're back to standing. Watsky tries to clinch but Rush moves out of range. Rush gets a takedown into half guard. Watsky is trying to stand.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Marcus Rush. Watsky misses with a takedown and Rush counters with a left and a right that stings Watsky.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rush throws a right and a left that both miss. Rush wants to clinch up but Watsky keeps it at a distance. Nice takedown defense from Watsky. No joy for Rush on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcus Rush. That's going to take a lot out of him. Watsky avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Watsky is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Rush misses with a takedown and Watsky counters with a body kick. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Watsky is looking to clinch. Watsky wants to clinch up but Rush keeps it at a distance. Rush throws a head kick that misses. Watsky tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rush fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Watsky to the ground. Rush is now in Watsky's guard. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hengan looks to land a combination. Brigante sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like Carlito Brigante has been cut. Hengan lands a nice shot to the body.
Brigante connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Hengan momentarily.
It looks like Zolt Hengan has been cut. Hengan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Brigante moves away. Hengan takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Brigante lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. A punch combination from Brigante misses. Hengan moves in looking to clinch but Brigante pushes him off. Hengan shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Brigante thows a body shot but no joy. Brigante bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Hengan's head backwards. Hengan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Brigante tries to avoid it but Hengan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Brigante to the ground. Brigante escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Hengan bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Brigante! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Brigante is rocked! The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Hengan is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Oh Brigante is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Brigante preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Hengan drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Brigante dives on top into guard. Brigante seems to have got his legs back now. Brigante stopping the sweep attempt from Hengan.
