2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Antonio Palhares! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arishok bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. The crowd cheers as Arishok lands an impressive looking overhand right. Palhares doesn't seem phased though. Arishok lands a jab.
It looks like Antonio Palhares has been cut. Arishok throws a right and a left that both miss. Arishok connects with a crisp jab.
Palhares is rocked! Palhares slips a jab from Arishok. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Arishok throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Arishok misses with a wild body shot. Zevran Arishok seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Arishok feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Palhares sprawling to the canvas! Palhares rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Arishok finish him?!
Palhares is still on wobbly legs! Can Arishok finish him? Palhares shoots in for a takedown but Arishok shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Arishok misses with a right hand and Palhares counters with a nice double leg into guard. Arishok on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Arishok tries to get out of the position. Arishok wants to get back to his feet but Palhares is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Arishok looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Palhares puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Arishok wants to get back to his feet. Arishok is defending against the submission attempts here by Palhares.
Palhares tries to pass to full mount but Arishok defends it. Palhares seems to have recovered his senses. Palhares maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Arishok could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Palhares has cracked it and Arishok is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Palhares!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dudek tests Dufva's chin there with a solid looking shot. Dufva fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Dudek is out of range. Dudek tries to score with a low kick but Dufva moves his leg out of the way. Dufva shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Dufva was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Dudek might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Dudek can't escape the position.
Dufva wants to control the pace but Dudek is squirming around nicely. Dufva thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dufva has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Dudek's face.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barboza misses with a body kick. Barboza displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kalypsi. Kalypsi tries to land a front kick but Barboza steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Nice jab there from Barboza. Barboza thows a body shot but no joy. Kalypsi staying out of range there. Kalypsi checks a leg kick. Barboza delivers a nice body kick. Barboza lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Jose Barboza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kalypsi dips to his left and cracks Barboza with an uppercut! A slapping leg kick lands for Kalypsi.
Barboza tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kalypsi shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Kalypsi misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Barboza. Barboza wants to clinch and Kalypsi counters with a solid body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barboza throws a half hearted mid kick. Barboza tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Kalypsi is able to avoid easily. Kalypsi fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Kalypsi takes a swing at Barboza's ribcage but misses. Barboza throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. No luck with that takedown attempt from Kalypsi. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aapo Kalypsi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kalypsi feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Barbozas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Kalypsi takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Kalypsi closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Kalypsi lands with a right to the head. Kalypsi blocks the elbow strike.
Barboza tries to land knees in the clinch but Kalypsi avoids the damage to the body. A head punch blocked on the inside by Kalypsi. Kalypsi lands a shoulder strike. Kalypsi manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Barboza lands on the inside with an uppercut. Kalypsi tries to throw a body punch but Barboza avoids it by throwing Kalypsi back against the cage. Barboza throws a head punch that misses. Kalypsi lands on the inside with an uppercut. A shot in the inside from Kalypsi. A nice left hand lands by Kalypsi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Czarnowski tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Weed counters with a lovely shot to the body. Weed scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Czarnowski doesn't seem bothered though. Weed looking to land some kicks to the body here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Czarnowski gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Weed trying to control but Czarnowski is working from the bottom. Czarnowski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Weed. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Weed wants to pass the guard but Czarnowski is keeping the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Weed postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Weed drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Czarnowski dives on top into guard. Czarnowski wants to stand and escape but instead Weed has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Weed trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Weed advances position into side control! Weed thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Weed goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Czarnowski has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Weed but great work by Czarnowski. Czarnowski tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Weed struggling a bit here. Weed is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Czarnowski off and has taken his back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Van Der Weed dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Weed is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Weed is looking for a kimura but Czarnowski is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Weed to get the leverage. Weed is looking to advance position but Czarnowski won't allow it. Weed prevents Czarnowski from standing back up.
Weed is pressing down on Czarnowski's thigh, looking to free his foot. Czarnowski is holding on for now. Patrick Czarnowski has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Van Der Weed is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Weed in particular looking to stall.
And that's the end of the fight! Van Der Weed showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Weed, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Tyler Durden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Durden turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Murphy throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Murphy swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Durden ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Durden wants to clinch up but Murphy keeps it at a distance. Durden doesn't manage to clinch there - Murphy circles away.

Sorsa tries to close the distance and clinch up but Becker swats him away and circles back towards the center. Sorsa connects with a high kick. No luck with that takedown attempt from Becker. A slow jab from Geissen misses its intended target. Michael Fybra is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Geissen throws a shot from downtown. Fybra moves away and avoids it. Geissen blocks a low kick nicely. An inside leg kick lands from Fybra. That kick from Fybra tenderised Geissen's leg. Geissen is trying to keep his angry face on.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A good leg kick by Sheynauvah. No luck with that takedown attempt from Johnson. Sheynauvah lands a leg kick that knocks Johnson off balance momentarily. Sheynauvah swinging wildly here.

Jab, jab by Sheynauvah - just one landing. Johnson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Sheynauvah scores with a jab. Johnson acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Sheynauvah scores with a slapping inside leg kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sheynauvah stuffs the takedown. Leonidas Sheynauvah has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brock Johnson.

It looks like Brock Johnson has been cut. Sheynauvah throws a head kick that misses. Johnson is trying desperately to land a takedown but Sheynauvah is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Johnson. Sheynauvah scores with a body shot.
Sheynauvah defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Johnson. Sheynauvah stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Johnson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sheynauvah circles away. Sheynauvah swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sheynauvah uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Johnson. Johnson dives in and scores a takedown into Sheynauvah's guard. Johnson passes into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sheynauvah is looking for a sweep. Johnson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Johnson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Sheynauvah is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Johnson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Johnson's back! Johnson rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Johnson is trying is best to control the position here. Johnson actively working from the bottom here. Sheynauvah controlling the pace. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Johnson can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sheynauvah seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Johnson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Sheynauvah will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Johnson is refusing to be controlled, as Sheynauvah sits in half guard. Sheynauvah passes to full mount! Sheynauvah wants to control the pace but Johnson is squirming around nicely. Johnson tries to lock up and control but Sheynauvah gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sheynauvah thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Johnson wants to control from the top but Sheynauvah keeps moving. Johnson throwing strikes from guard but Sheynauvah blocks nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson is in close to Sheynauvah's body, working some short punches and elbows. Johnson trying to control but Sheynauvah is working from the bottom. Johnson won't allow Sheynauvah to sweep him here. Brock Johnson has got the better of the ground game so far. Johnson throwing strikes but missing. Johnson trying to control the position from guard on top but Sheynauvah is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Johnson's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Sheynauvah is trying to keep Johnson in close.

He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Sheynauvah keeping full guard, as Johnson tries to pass. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Johnson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Sheynauvah is trying to control the position but Johnson postures up. This has been an exciting period of action! Johnson scoring with punches to the head and body. Sheynauvah wants to stand but Johnson is controlling the position. Johnson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Johnson is looking to work some ground and pound but Sheynauvah has wrist control. Sheynauvah wriggles free and stands up. Sheynauvah throws a right and a left that Johnson avoids nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sheynauvah takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Johnson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Sheynauvah can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Struve throws a body kick that misses. Brandao shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Brandao blocks the body kick.
Brandao clobbers Struve with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Some wild striking there from Struve.
Struve tries a head kick but it misses.
Brandao lands with a hook. Struve tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Struve tries to work over Brandao's front leg with a kick but Brandao checks it. A combination from Struve does no damage. Struve walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Struve misses with a kick to the body.
A low kick from Struve is predictable there and Brandao counters with a one-two to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Struve shoots for a double leg takedown but Brandao sprawls well. He's pushed Struve's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Struve tries to score a power double leg takedown but Brandao sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Struve somewhat. Brandao has taken the fight to the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brandao gets underhooks to prevent Struve's takedown attempt.
Marcus Brandao has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stefan Struve. Still in the clinch, Brandao scores with a nice short uppercut. Brandao effectively controlling the action here. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Brandao creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Stefan Struve has been cut. Struve can't break the clinch.

Brandao lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Struve backwards. Struve wants to break free but Brandao has control.

That has opened up Stefan Struve's cut even more. Struve drops down looking for an ankle pick but Brandao pulls his leg out and moves away.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. That kick from Brandao tenderised Struve's leg. Struve is trying to keep his angry face on. Brandao fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Struve on the side of the head.
The cut above Stefan Struve's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Brandao swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Struve throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Struve throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Brandao fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Struve shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Brandao counters with a lovely straight right hand! Struve looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brandao lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Struve misses with a leg kick and Brandao counters with a nice body kick.
Brandao scores with a push kick. Brandao dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Brandao closes the distance and pushes Struve back into the cage. Brandao avoiding damage.
Brandao lands an elbow that stopped Struve in his tracks for a moment.
Stefan Struve's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Stefan Struve's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Marcus Brandao! Marcus Brandao decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
