The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodrigues throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Pinto bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Rodrigues comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Pinto falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Pinto was out before he hit the floor!

A very excited looking Fabricio Rodrigues rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

Beard throws a nice outside leg kick.
Rossi fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Rossi avoids the head kick by Beard.
Rossi takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Beard thumps Rossi with a low kick.
Beard connects with a high kick.
It looks like Hugo Rossi has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rossi misses with a takedown attempt - Beard sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Beard closes the distance looking to clinch
and Rossi counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Rossi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Beard to the mat! Beard manages to get full guard.
Rossi wants to control from the top but Beard keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rossi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Beard swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Beard not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rossi is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Rossi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Beard sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rossi somewhat.
