The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Andrews is defended easily by Sonders.

Andrews shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sonders's guard.

Garner dives in and grabs Steven's left leg, looking for a takedown. Steven pushes down on Garner's head and hops out.

Gokov is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Diablo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gokov's waist but Gokov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Diablo off to one side.

Gokov gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Gokov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Diablo tries to avoid it but Gokov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Diablo to the ground. Diablo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Gokov has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Diablo is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Gokov.

Diablo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gokov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
