The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lakovic takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Griffin shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lakovic but Lakovic pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Galt comes into the arena with State of the Union by Rise Against blaring out of the sound system. Harvey has chosen Bitches Brew as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that John Galt has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily John Galt seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Neil darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

It looks like Jamie Gillis has been cut.

Gillis breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gillis drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gillis gets cracked there but stands up to it.
O Neil throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Gillis.
Gillis is breathing heavily.
Gillis is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
O Neil takes a shot to the body in his stride.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Gillis checks a leg kick.

O Neil waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Gillis. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Gillis to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Oh Gillis is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
O Neil working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Gillis's head.
O Neil must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jamie Gillis spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
