Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shanir Shackioorhan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Johnny Quid! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Daniel Blasius and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quid shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Quid was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Shackioorhan is trying desperately to improve position. Quid looking to control and managing it successfully. Shackioorhan sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Shackioorhan looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Quid is working for a submission of some sort.
Quid drops an elbow to the side of Shackioorhan's head. Quid prevents Shackioorhan from improving his position. Shackioorhan actively working from the bottom here. Quid is looking for a kimura here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shackioorhan is trying to get back to full guard. Shackioorhan is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Quid pulls his head out easily. Quid is looking for a kimura here.
Shackioorhan wants to get back to full guard. Shackioorhan looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Quid escapes and gets back to his feet. Shackioorhan doesn't succeed with the takedown and Quid counters with a nice double leg into side control. Shackioorhan won't be happy with that.

Quid is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Shackioorhan has escaped the position, nice work there. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Shackioorhan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Quid wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Quid decides to stand back up. Quid steps back and let's Shackioorhan get back to his feet. Quid fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Shackioorhan to the ground. Quid is now in Shackioorhan's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Quid got a little sloppy there for a moment and Shackioorhan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Quid has managed to get both his arms back between Shackioorhan's legs - danger averted. Quid lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Quid avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Quid engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Shackioorhan avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shackioorhan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Shackioorhan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Quid can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Quid trying to control the position from guard on top but Shackioorhan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Quid looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Shackioorhan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Quid gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Quid sitting in guard here, content to control.

No, Quid has managed to get both his arms back between Shackioorhan's legs - danger averted. Quid advances to half guard. Shackioorhan actively working from the bottom here. Shackioorhan avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Quid. Shackioorhan is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Quid's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Quid's back! Shackioorhan is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Quid has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Shackioorhan working for the choke. Shackioorhan is breathing heavily. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Quid defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnny Quid dominated that round. That's time! Shackioorhan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Shackioorhan gets caught napping as Quid dives in and scores a takedown. Shackioorhan manages to retain guard. Shackioorhan can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Quid controls the pace. Shackioorhan working for a triangle but Quid defends it easily.
Johnny Quid has got the better of the ground game so far. Quid forces his way into half guard. Quid missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Shackioorhan looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Quid sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shackioorhan actively working from the bottom here. Quid winds up and cracks Shackioorhan with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Shackioorhan wants to get back to full guard. Quid is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Shackioorhan is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Quid pulls his head out easily. Shackioorhan looking for submissions off his back. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Quid in particular looking to stall. Shackioorhan looking for submissions off his back.

Quid cracks Shackioorhan with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Quid is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Shackioorhan has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Quid looking to control but Shackioorhan is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Shackioorhan sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shackioorhan looking for submissions off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Quid has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Shackioorhan defend it? Quid steps over the head and cranks it - Shackioorhan is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Quid!
