The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lima shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Manhater counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lima won't be happy with that.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Manhater tries for a kimura but Lima is defending well.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Manhater has control of Lima's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lima regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Manhater is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Lima has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Manhater swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Lima is now in Manhater's guard. A big mistake from Manhater there, giving up the dominant position!

Manhater has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Lima is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Manhater.

Lima closes the distance and clinches up with Manhater, looking for a takedown. Lima pushes Manhater against the cage but Manhater circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Lima tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Manhater manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Some bone on bone action there as Lima checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lima.
Lima really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Manhater throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lima was covering up waiting for the punch and Manhater finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Manhater escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lima gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Manhater can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lima is looking to escape.

Manhater is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Lima is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Lima flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Manhater anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Lima and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Manhater slips an arm under Lima chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Manhater has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Manhater is squeezing on Lima like an anaconda would it's prey. Lima fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Pierre has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Belich finds it's way round the side to connect with Pierre 's head.
Belich lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Pierre moves in looking to clinch but Belich pushes him off.
No joy there for Belich, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Belich lands a really nice looking cross but Pierre seems unphased.
Pierre shoots in for a takedown but Belich shows good takedown defense.
Pierre tries to move into range but Belich moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Pierre is rocked!
Pierre misses with a series of wild punches.
Pierre gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Pierre tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Belich is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Pierre buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Pierre !! Pierre is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Belich throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
