Dos Santos thuds his right hand into Gracie's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Gracie looks to clinch
and Dos Santos counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Dos Santos throws an overhand right that drops Gracie like a sack of potatoes! Dos Santos dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santanna tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gracie was well out of range. Poor timing from Santanna.
Gracie misses with a looping right.
Gracie will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Gracie fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Santanna sprawls well initially but Gracie persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Santanna is defending against the submission attempts here by Gracie.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Gracie in particular looking to stall.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gracie is nestled in close to Santanna, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Gracie is trying to control the action in half guard but Santanna is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Gracie looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Santanna is trying to maintain the position but Gracie is very close to passing his half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Santanna blocking the ground and pound attempt from Gracie.
Santanna is controlling Gracie's trapped leg to prevent Gracie from advancing to side control.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Santanna's jab looks to have found its range, popping Gracie under the eye.

It looks like Rigan Gracie has been cut.

Gracie drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Santanna lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A punch lands to the side of Gracie 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Santanna moves in looking to clinch but Gracie pushes him off.
Gracie tries to clinch there but Santanna circles away.
Santanna digs a good hook to Gracie's body.

The referee is keeping an eye on Santanna - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Santanna breaks from the clinch.
Santanna looks to score with a jab to the body but Gracie is just out of range.

Santanna forces Gracie back against the cage and clinches.
Gracie is working for takedown but Santanna is calmly controlling the position for now.
Santanna digs a right hand into Gracie's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Gracie's gas tank.
Gracie is trying to force a seperation but Santanna has the dominant position.

Santanna escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Gracie fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gracie takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
A punch lands to the side of Gracie 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Santanna just misses with a punch to the body.
Santanna lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Gracie is rocked!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Santanna misses with an uppercut.
Gracie is still on wobbly legs! Can Santanna finish him?

Santanna has Gracie up against the cage in a clinch.
Santanna fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Santanna breaks the clinch.
Santanna connects with a nice cross there... Gracie is looking wobbly and Santanna recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Gracie to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Santanna jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
