Aoki avoids the body shot from Barok.
Aoki tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Barok manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alexis Texas!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Funkyama misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Texas.
Texas stuns Funkyama with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Funkyama tries to clinch but Texas is having none of it.
Texas misses with a body kick.
Texas walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Texas throws a nice inside leg kick.
Funkyama is breathing heavily.
Funkyama throws a lazy uppercut
and Texas counters with a nice body shot.
Texas tries a low kick but Funkyama avoids it.
Texas lands with a cross.

It looks like Fedor Funkyama has been cut.
Texas scores with a jab to the body.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Texas. Funkyama shrugs it off though.
Funkyama walks forward, straight into a front kick from Texas.
Texas works Funkyama's body with a nice hook.
Texas lands a right hook to the body.
Funkyama takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Texas lands a big head kick that sends Funkyama tumbling to the mat! Texas takes a step backwards and waves Funkyama back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Texas is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Funkyama rather than just go for the knockout.

Texas connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Texas tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Texas cracks Funkyama with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Funkyama tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Texas pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Funkyama is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alexis Texas!
A very excited looking Alexis Texas made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
