Forolov working for a triangle but Kruger defends it easily.
Forolov looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Kruger puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Kruger looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Forolov with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Kruger is nestled in close to Forolov, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Forolov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kruger is working away from the top position though.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knuckles connects with a looping right hand.
Horrible takedown by Knuckles or perhaps it was just good defense by Anderson which made him look bad.
Anderson ducks under a wild hook from Knuckles.
Anderson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Anderson walks into a left hand.
Knuckles throws a hook but Anderson avoids it easily.
Anderson misses with a looping right.
Knuckles throws a shot from downtown. Anderson moves away and avoids it.

Anderson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Knuckles can do anything to dispel that myth.
