Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lee Atkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jervis Jarvainian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Atkin's entrance music is she's a lady. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Jarvainian's choice of entrance music: Pump up the jam. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jervis Jarvainian! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jarvainian blocks the body kick.
Atkin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Atkin wants it to stay on the feet. Jarvainian feints and as Atkin raises his hands in defense, Jarvainian changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Jarvainian with a flurry of punches that miss. Atkin not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Atkin has his hands on Jarvainian's head, controlling the position. Atkin preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Atkin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Jarvainian working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Atkin's head. Jarvainian missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Jarvainian stands up from Atkin's guard - Jarvainian perhaps looking for a knockout. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Atkin takes a swing at Jarvainian's ribcage but misses. Jarvainian closes the distance and clinches up with Atkin, looking for a takedown. Jarvainian pushes Atkin against the ropes but Atkin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Atkin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Atkin misses with an uppercut. Jarvainian saw that one coming. Excellent takedown into side control there by Jarvainian. Jarvainian throws a strike aimed at the side of Atkin's head but Atkin avoids it well. Atkin struggling a bit here. The ground and pound from Jarvainian seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Jarvainian is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Atkin's shoulder. That is not cool. Jarvainian has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Jarvainian trying to control the position but Atkin is working away. An elbow from Jarvainian crashes against the mat.
Jarvainian creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Atkin sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Jarvainian throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Atkin works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Atkin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jarvainian is working away from the top position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jarvainian landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Jarvainian looks to score some points with some ground and pound. This has been an exciting period of action! Jarvainian trying to control the action but Atkin is working from the bottom. Jarvainian seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Jarvainian not landing any meaningful shots this time. Jarvainian throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Jarvainian missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Atkin blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jarvainian. Jarvainian lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Atkin trying to hold on to Jarvainian's head to control him but Jarvainian postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jarvainian wants to take a breather but Atkin is having none of it. Jarvainian is nestled in close to Atkin, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Jarvainian is looking to take a break and control but Atkin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Atkin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jarvainian on the ground. Jarvainian looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Atkin keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Atkin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jarvainian is working away from the top position though. Jarvainian throwing shots but Atkin is blocking nicely. Jarvainian thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Atkin's head. Atkin is refusing to be controlled, as Jarvainian sits in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Atkin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Jarvainian not landing any meaningful shots this time. Jarvainian is trying to work for a kimura but Atkin is defending well.
Jarvainian looks to score some points with some ground and pound. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Atkin keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Jarvainian seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Atkin wants to control but Jarvainian is keeping busy and won't allow it. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Atkin is staying active underneath Jarvainian, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Jarvainian lands strikes from half guard. Jarvainian scoring with strikes to the body and head. Jarvainian is trying to control the action in half guard but Atkin is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jervis Jarvainian dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Jarvainian wants to clinch up but Atkin keeps it at a distance. Jarvainian throws a jab but it's blocked by Atkin. Atkin misses with a wild body shot. Atkin throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Jervis Jarvainian is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jarvainian keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jarvainian blocks a jab. Atkin throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Atkin takes a swing at Jarvainian's ribcage but misses. Atkin pulls out of a head kick attempt.

and Jarvainian counters with a nice uppercut. Atkin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jarvainian. Atkin throws a head kick that misses. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jarvainian looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Atkin is fending him off so far but Jarvainian persists. Nope, Atkin circles away and we're back to standing. Jarvainian closes the distance and clinches up with Atkin, looking for a takedown. Jarvainian pushes Atkin against the ropes but Atkin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Lee Atkin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jervis Jarvainian. Jarvainian shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jarvainian was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! BOOM! Jarvainian connects with a massive shot to the dome!
It looks like Lee Atkin has been cut.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Goldman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rory as he jumps to the side. Goldman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Goldman misses with a takedown attempt - Rory sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Goldman scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Goldman tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Goldman stands up. This has been an exciting period of action! Goldman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rory as he avoids it easily. Shane Rory has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Goldman. Rory throws a right and a left that both miss. Rory stuffs the takedown. Rory ducks under a wild hook from Goldman. Rory throws a solid leg kick but Goldman takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Rory. Goldman looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Goldman is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Goldman thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Rory wants to stand and escape but Goldman is having none of it. Goldman wants to control from the top but Rory keeps moving. Rory is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Goldman is controlling him. Goldman sitting in guard here, content to control. Goldman stands and steps away. Rory gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Goldman moves into range and clinches up with Rory. Rory with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Rory has had enough of the clinch but Goldman keeps him there for the moment. Goldman tries to land knees in the clinch but Rory avoids the damage to the body. Rory has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. This has been an exciting period of action! Rory breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Goldman wants to slow Rory down by chopping away at his legs. Goldman drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Goldman looks gassed! Goldman is looking to take a break and control but Rory is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Rory gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Goldman is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rory throws a sloppy head kick and Goldman moves out of range easily. Goldman fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Goldman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. John Goldman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rory misses with a head kick.

Rory lands with a nice body kick. Rory misses with the combination.

Rory lands a brutal head kick. Goldman looks out on his feet and Rory throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Slaughter with a poor takedown and Ferguson counters with a three punch combo that has Slaughter backing up. Slaughter nods at Ferguson to acknowledge the strikes. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ferguson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Slaughter stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Some wild striking there from Slaughter.
Ferguson jabs Slaughter right on the nose. Slaughter blinks but takes it well. Slaughter looks gassed! Slaughter with a poor takedown and Ferguson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Slaughter gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Slaughter tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Ferguson is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Slaughter buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Slaughter!! Slaughter is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Ferguson throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Biggins fails with the takedown enabling Ibssen to counter with a crisp jab. Biggins scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Ibssen is pushing Biggins's head away, looking to escape. Biggins manages to hold on to the position though. Biggins is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ibssen has escaped the position, nice work there. Ibssen gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Ibssen is trying to stand back up but Biggins is controlling him

Ibssen working for a choke but Biggins reverses nicely into Ibssen 's guard.

Biggins trying to control the position from guard on top but Ibssen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ibssen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Biggins on the ground. Ibssen working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Biggins has passed into half guard!
Biggins has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Ibssen sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Ibssen wants to get back to full guard. Ibssen tries to kick Biggins off but Biggins keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Biggins is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Ibssen has managed to free his arm - good work. The fighters are battling for position here. Ibssen manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Ibssen keeping moving, preventing Biggins from controlling successfully. Biggins with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Biggins won't allow Ibssen to sweep him here. Biggins passes easily into side control. Nice work. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ibssen is working to avoid the ground and pound but Biggins connects with a decent elbow. Biggins looks up at the clock and then as Ibssen takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Biggins smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Biggins is trying to get an arm triangle but Ibssen is defending well. Ibssen is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Biggins fails with the takedown and Ibssen counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. This has been an exciting period of action! Biggins gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Ibssen counters with a left to the body. Biggins fails with the takedown and Ibssen counters with a series of strikes that really hurt Biggins! The ref looks into his eyes and sees nobody home - he's called the fight! This one is all over!

The fighters circling - Durant throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Stevenson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Stevenson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Durant swivels though and keeps the full guard. Stevenson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Durant swats him away and circles back towards the center. Stevenson takes one to the side of the head.

Durant wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Durant has a couple of punches blocked by Stevenson.
Durant escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nice straight punches there by Durant. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Durant. Durant connects with a crisp jab. Durant is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Durant wants to clinch but Stevenson slips to the side and Stevenson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Durant won't be happy with that. Stevenson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Stevenson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Durant wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Steve Stevenson will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Hogan cracks Johnson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

No luck for Bashir with that takedown attempt. Bashir scores with a decent looking hook. Bashir lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Ryan backs up against the ropes.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ryan looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Bashir shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ryan sprawls well. Ryan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bashir gets slowly back to his feet. Jackson Ryan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Bashir shoots in looking for a takedown but Ryan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bashir's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Ryan ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. A swing and a miss from Bashir. Ryan pulls out of a head kick attempt.

He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ryan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ryan tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Bashir is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Mohamed Bashir is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bashir wants to get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ryan is trying to control the action in half guard but Bashir is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Bashir is looking to control Ryan's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bashir avoid being mounted? Jackson Ryan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Master doesn't succeed with the takedown and Garcia counters with a takedown into side control. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Garcia wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Master, who protects the arm well. Garcia is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Master knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Master gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Garcia trying to control but he's not successful this time. Master is trying to escape the mount.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Veron cracks Faulk with an open hand slap. Faulk pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Faulk steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Veron. Faulk throws a hook to the side of Veron's head but Veron sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Faulk tries to work over Veron's front leg with a kick but Veron checks it. Veron misses the jab. Veron ducks under a wild hook from Faulk. Veron scores with a shot to the body.
Veron tries to clinch up but Faulk circles away and keeps his distance. Faulk connects with an inside leg kick. Faulk ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Veron moves away. Veron fails to land the takedown. Faulk throws a lazy right hand but Veron sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Faulk fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Veron connects with a nice looking jab.

He's got his arms around Faulk's waist but Faulk gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Veron off to one side. Faulk jabbing away but nothing is landing. Veron might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Faulk swings and misses with a hook to the body.
