0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Igor Popov! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Valeri Chadov and Illya Tyunina.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Popov fails to land with a series of punches.
Barksdale throws a combination. Popov tries to block but a couple of punches get through. A kick lands to the mid section there for Barksdale.
Barksdale shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Barksdale showed some decent athleticism there. Popov is trying to get back to full guard. Popov regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Barksdale. Barksdale in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Popov is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Barksdale drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Popov dives on top into guard. Popov wants to stand but Barksdale is controlling his posture from full guard.

Popov trying to control the position from guard on top but Barksdale is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Popov looking to pass the guard.  The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ryan fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Ryan shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Jack Ryan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lappalainen with a hook.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Ryan tries to hold on but Lappalainen postures up. Lappalainen takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Ryan is working to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ryan regains half guard. Ryan is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lappalainen's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lappalainen's back! Lappalainen is keeping busy.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Ryan lands a shot to the head. Lappalainen trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Ryan throwing wild punches that miss their target. Ryan is not going to allow Lappalainen to sit and survive in this position. Will Ryan go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Lappalainen keeping moving, preventing Ryan from controlling successfully. Lappalainen has Ryan pulled in close to control his posture. That was a close second round but I would say that Jack Ryan will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Ryan is desperately trying to improve his position but Lappalainen has a good base and remains in mount. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lappalainen blocks Ryan's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Ryan is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Lappalainen lands a big elbow. Lappalainen controlling his opponent. Ryan is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Ryan working to try and regain half guard.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Ryan wants to hold on but Lappalainen pushes him away. Ryan looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Ryan tries to roll but Lappalainen sticks to his back.
Lappalainen is trying to stick to Ryan's back but Ryan is turning into Lappalainen. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Lappalainen's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Ryan. Lappalainen working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ryan.
 The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Ryan takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

He's pushed Ottesen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Anastasiadis looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Horrible takedown by Ottesen or perhaps it was just good defense by Anastasiadis which made him look bad. Anastasiadis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paulsen tries to bum rush Reki with a series of wild strikes but Reki uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Paulsen throws a right and a left that both miss. Paulsen throws a series of punches but Reki avoids them all with ease.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Reki softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Reki working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Reki prevents the takedown attempt.

Reki closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Paulsen regains half guard, as Reki was trying to land strikes. Reki with the ground and pound but Paulsen uses the opportunity to regain guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Reki accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Reki is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Reki thows a big elbow that misses. Reki tries to free his leg and advance position but Paulsen is retaining full guard. Reki throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Paulsen works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Reki postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Reki stands and throws Paulsen's legs to the side, diving into side control. Reki misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
