Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zell Griever (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derek Law (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Griever might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to X-Files Theme. Law has chosen pretender as his entrance music. Derek Law is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Law is defended easily by Griever.

Law is rocked!
Law loses concentration momentarily and Griever pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Law crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Griever finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Japanese King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Rocha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King comes to the cage accompanied by Young, wild, and free. Japanese King had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kyros Sisyphus!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul Harris!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Emerson Jorge and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Harris enables Sisyphus to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Harris manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Sisyphus stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Harris swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Harris is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Sisyphus postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Harris is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sisyphus, into his guard.
Sisyphus wants to stand and escape but Harris is having none of it.

Sisyphus is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Harris is aware though and is defending well.
Harris must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Sisyphus working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Harris doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Harris manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Harris has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Sisyphus to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Harris is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Sisyphus pulls down on the head and he's put Harris to sleep! This one is all over!

Kyros Sisyphus decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
