1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Max! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Max misses with a series of wild punches.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Howard.
Max throws the left hand but Howard avoids the punch easily. Max throws a sloppy head kick and Howard counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Max tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Max throws a series of punches but Howard avoids them all with ease. A combination from Max does no damage. Max misses with a double jab.
Howard throws a head kick that Max semi-blocks.
Howard lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Max misses with a two punch combination.
Max throws a sloppy head kick and Howard moves out of range easily. Max rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Howard moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Howard throws out a powerful jab. Howard fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Max has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Howard lands with a thumping leg kick.

It connects and Max has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. A shot to the body from Max misses and Howard counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Max is lucky that one didn't land flush. Howard throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Max's head. Howard connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. A nice inside leg kick there by Howard. That's going to slow Max down.

Max throws a lazy head kick and Howard counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Max is lucky that one didn't land flush. A jab from Howard does it's job there. Max takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Curly Howard dominated that round. That's time! Howard's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Howard scores with a head kick. Max tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Max connects with a nice looking jab.

and Howard counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Max misses with a head kick.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Max might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Howard has got the better of the exchanges. Howard throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Max. Howard lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. This has been an exciting period of action! Howard lands with a slapping head kick.

Howard circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Max drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Howard follows Max to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McNabb lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by McNabb.
It looks like Dusty Adamek has been cut. Adamek misses the jab. McNabb scores with a one two! Adamek had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. McNabb throws a nice looking combination but Adamek bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Adamek tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McNabb was well out of range. Poor timing from Adamek. McNabb throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
McNabb lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Adamek circles away quickly and effectively. McNabb throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Adamek counters with a single leg into guard. McNabb didn't expect that. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McNabb wants to get back to his feet but Adamek is in a dominant position and won't allow it. McNabb keeping moving, preventing Adamek from controlling successfully. Adamek pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. McNabb is keeping the position for now. McNabb is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Adamek wants to control from the top but McNabb keeps moving. Adamek passes into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. McNabb blocking the ground and pound attempt from Adamek. McNabb tries to roll over but Adamek keeps him under control. Adamek scoring with strikes to the body and head. McNabb is staying active underneath Adamek, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Adamek wants to stand up but McNabb is controlling the position.
Well, if Adamek is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Adamek throws a big elbow that misses. Adamek postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! McNabb is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Adamek, into his guard. Adamek looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This has been an exciting period of action!

That was a close round but I would say that Dusty Adamek will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Dusty Adamek's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Adamek is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Adamek is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Adamek postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. McNabb looks a forlorn figure.
McNabb is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Adamek is in the full mount, landing strikes. Adamek is landing with some decent strikes but McNabb is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Adamek raining down hammerfists from mount. Adamek lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Adamek lands with some strikes. This has been an exciting period of action! McNabb in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Adamek landing strikes from the mount. McNabb is breathing heavily. Adamek trying to control but he's not successful this time. Adamek scores with a couple of good head shots there.

But McNabb has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from McNabb! Adamek has his hands on McNabb's head, controlling the position. McNabb gets to his feet - Adamek follows without any prompting. No joy there for McNabb, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

McNabb checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. McNabb throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Adamek is on the wrong end of a nice combination from McNabb. McNabb closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Adamek is looking to regain half guard here but McNabb keeps moving and retains side control. McNabb takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Adamek is not content to let McNabb control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. McNabb throwing strikes but Adamek manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Adamek wants to control for a moment but McNabb uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Adamek with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Adamek thows a huge punch but McNabb dodges it nicely.
Adamek is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Dusty Adamek is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Adamek is taking a breather. McNabb says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Adamek is looking to take a break and control but McNabb is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. McNabb regains full guard. Nicely done. Adamek trying to control the position from guard on top but McNabb is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dusty Adamek overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Dusty Adamek just wasn't active enough. A punch combination from Adamek misses.

Adamek stands up and we're back to a striking position. Adamek fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

McNabb scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Adamek manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Adamek keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. McNabb is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Adamek controlling the action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dusty Adamek. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Adamek, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Lik uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Fine. Fine lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Lik is rocked! Lik slips a jab from Fine. Lik is still on wobbly legs! Can Fine finish him? Lik wants to clinch up but Fine keeps it at a distance. Lik tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fine paws at him with a jab and circles away. Lik moves out of range of the body kick. Fine misses with a straight right. Lik seems to have recovered his senses. Fine throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lik sees it coming and avoids it easily. Lik ducks under a wild hook from Fine. Fine swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Lik tries to clinch and Fine counters with a stiff right hand. Lik slips under a jab from Fine. Lik on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Fine drops Lik with a straight right hand, right on the button! Fine follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Worley throws a leg kick which misses Riviera's front leg but catches the back leg as Riviera tries to avoid it. Worley's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Worley duly obliges. Worley stalks Riviera and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Riviera's face. Riviera staggers backwards, shaken.

Worley lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Worley tries a head kick but it misses.
Riviera moves into range and clinches up with Worley. Worley blocks a body shot from Riviera. Riviera tries to throw a body punch but Worley avoids it by throwing Riviera back against the cage. Riviera is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Worley breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Worley lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Riviera is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Worley. Worley uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Riviera.

Riviera rushes Worley and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Riviera has taken the fight to the clinch.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Riviera. Worley has had enough of the clinch but Riviera keeps him there for the moment. Riviera is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Riviera takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Riviera throws a punch but it's blocked by Worley. Worley pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Riviera throws a hook to the side of Worley's head but Worley sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Riviera is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Worley slips a jab and a cross from Riviera.
Riviera looks to throw the jab but Worley is out of range. Riviera shoots for a takedown but Worley saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Riviera throws a sloppy body shot
and Worley counters with a good low kick that Riviera was not able to check. Worley scores with a leg kick.
Worley throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jorge Riviera is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Riviera throws a jab when Worley was well out of range. Worley throws a series of strikes that have Riviera backpedaling.
It looks like Jorge Riviera has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Worley lands a glancing blow to the side of Riviera's head. A nice leg kick lands there from Worley. Worley feints a jab promting Riviera to slip. Worley then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Riviera slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Riviera is rocked! Worley feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Riviera's calf. Oooooh!!! Worley has knocked Riviera down with a huge combo! Worley steps away and waves a wobbly Riviera back to his feet! This one might not go much longer! Oh Riviera is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Riviera chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Worley can pounce on him.
Worley tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Riviera seems to have got his legs back now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Worley scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Worley feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Riviera's calf. Cody Worley seems to be getting the better of the standup. Worley fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Riviera has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Good leg kick by Worley there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Riviera has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Worley goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Worley! Riviera is out on his feet! Worley rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Riviera is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Riviera is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Manson lands a left and a right that send Pelkko crashing to the mat, dazed. Manson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Jukka Pelkko has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Manson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Manson drops Pelkko with a beautiful combination! Pelkko stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Manson is looking for the KO!
Pelkko is rocked! Pelkko misses with a looping left. Oh Pelkko is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Manson is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Pelkko hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Charles Manson! A very excited looking Charles Manson rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
