The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warrior will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Warrior throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vasconcelos's waist but Vasconcelos gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Warrior off to one side.
Vasconcelos tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Warrior paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Vasconcelos has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Warrior is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Vasconcelos.

Warrior has hold of Vasconcelos's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Vasconcelos tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Warrior cranks the arm and Vasconcelos screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Vasconcelos, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

A very excited looking Frank Hodge rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Walton lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Velasqs has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Velasqs and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Well Walton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
