I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

Baduk decides to stand up, so the ref orders Rapist to his feet.

Baduk fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Rapist on the side of the head.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Sergei Baduk.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Rapist scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Baduk tries to kick Rapist off but Rapist keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Rapist looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Rapist is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Baduk is just riding it out for now. Rapist eventually gives up the hold.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rapist is controlling the pace.
Baduk is refusing to be controlled, as Rapist sits in half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rapist content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brutal Rapist showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Rapist looks to land a left hand but Baduk moved out of range nicely.
An inside leg kick lands from Baduk.

Baduk tries to sprawl but Rapist drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Rapist passes to full mount!

Rapist thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Rapist goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Baduk is on top in guard.

Baduk would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Baduk decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Baduk lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Baduk tries to close the distance and clinch but Rapist swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A combination from Baduk does no damage.
A telegraphed right hand from Baduk misses the target.
Rapist connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Sergei Baduk's cut is getting worse.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Rapist has managed to clinch.
Rapist is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Rapist breaks the clinch.
Sergei Baduk has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Baduk gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Rapist gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brutal Rapist!
After winning the bout, Brutal Rapist thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
